Lesser known is the other House bill that would abolish the IRS and replace the income tax with a "consumption" tax. The odds are great that Republicans will take the Senate in 2024, so with a Trump win, we could see the death of the IRS!

Schumer wasted no time saying that this was the Republicans protecting big corporations, but in reality, the IRS focused audits on the poor in 2022 and said it would do the same with the new agents (poor and middle class or small business owners), who were only added so the inflation increasing bill could pass.
