One misdemeanor charge multiplied another 33 times. A bookkeeping ledger made months BEFORE the 2016 campaign, so it needed not be disclosed. Made to cover up another crime? That “crime” was not even stated in the indictment. Either way, the SOL is expired. This is complete bullsh*t legal chicanery. The SOL and malicious prosecution are appealable without a conviction, so this case will never see a jury.IP: Logged |

quickly scanning a few courtroom pics, he looks vaguely amused and a bit tired. Can't blame him. These types of "trials" aren't new. The Nazi People's Court, Stalin's Moscow trials, and here in the States, the infamous pre Civil War Tennessee show trial of abolitionist Amos Dreser. I believe Amos' punishment was a public whipping. I guess that's what this amounts to. Show trials are just what these people do. It's a hallmark of sorts. Takeway (if you had any doubts) - be a good bootlicker or the System will come for you too. This political hack “inferred” that the “other” crime was that President Trump withheld information from the voters. Seriously? What this hack failed to mention was that the supposed crimes are past the SOL. What an idiot. How did this loser pass the NY Bar? If this judge has any integrity whatsoever, he will grant the upcoming motion for dismissal on SOL grounds. If not, I’m certain an appellate court will. SCOTUS certainly will. IP: Logged |

Looks like Manhattan DA Bragg is screwed no matter which way he tries to go with this indictment of Trump.First...as Randall already said, his so called felony indictment fails to state a felony offense that Trump allegedly committed. So, as a felony indictment, the indictment itself is legally insufficient to charge Trump with a felony. What's left are state misdemeanors but the statute of limitations, (2 years], have run. There was speculation that Bragg was going to bring in a charge relating to federal election law....paying off the porn star with election campaign funds. Someone must have pulled this big dummy aside and told him he's a local DA and doesn't have jurisdiction to prosecute federal crimes. One would think...from what we've seen here that indicting Trump was the end all be all and that Bragg doesn't plan for this to go to trial. The motions to dismiss are going to fly out of Trump's legal team over the next few months. It would be nice if the judge took a look at this indictment and NY law, called Bragg in, ripped him and dismissed the indictment. IP: Logged |

For an indictment that Bragg claims alludes to 34 felonies, it doesn’t allege a single felony violation, so as jwhop eloquently stated, the indictment is legally insufficient. This would be an F in any law school’s legal writing class. IP: Logged |

I wasn't aware of the Dreser example. Thanks. I would say this is a larger matter than being a good bootlicker or not. He and the movement he leads are a threat to the DC cartel's power like no one before, together with the unprecedented levels of the state's corruption, is why he's the first ex president ever to be indicted, in my opinion.

Mike Cernovich: quote: The Trump indictment, which I read, would be laughable in any other circumstance. It's the same offense, copied and pasted 34 times, with the date changed each time. This is the biggest farce I've ever seen.
Oh, so that's how magician Bragg pulled the 34 charges out of a hat. IP: Logged |

I didn't know that. I'm not aware of Trump running for any NY state office so what could Bragg be talking about? Could Bragg be alleging that Trump made a campaign donation to a NY politician that exceeded the state limit? It's already established that Bragg has no jurisdiction to prosecute any federal crimes including federal campaign finance crimes. Who would vote for a bungler like Bragg? IP: Logged |

It does not have to make sense legally or otherwise for this so called nothing burger indictment to proceed to trial and even a conviction. Rule of law does not exist for Kangaroo courts. Regardless of its outcome, this Barnum & Bailey circus benefits the left most: with freshly drawn Trump blood, it invigorates the base's TDS, gives a rating boost to their sagging medias, distracts the population from the real problems and from the failings of the Biden admin, and puts uncertainty in the GOP 2024 race. They will keep puling stunts like that, for the same reason a dog licks its balls... IP: Logged |

I read that Bragg was peppered with questions about his 'indictment' at his 'victory press conference' where he stumbled around and didn't give a coherent answer to any press questions. The oft repeated question was.....where's the felony you allege Trump committed in your indictment. His answer....I don't have to tell you that! If that report is true, Bragg failed to inform Trump of the felony he allegedly committed. IP: Logged |

Braggs accusations are beside the point. They know it. Why doesn't the Right? Why argue? Why try to reason with the unreasonable? This is *at best* their version of getting Capone on tax evasion. They will arrest you for jaywalking, while the paroled criminal who just raped and murdered a woman is let out on their no bail policy. Repubs always at least one decade behind lol
