kids marrying each other is ok with me provided they reach puberty. But adult marrying 12 year olds -- no way.

Don’t be blindsided by a tweet. A bill banning adults from marrying 12-year-olds is just a political stunt because that is already illegal. Like many states, 16-year-olds can marry with parental consent, and18-year-olds can legally marry because they are adults. Additionally, anyone 21 or older is barred from marrying anyone under 18 even with parental consent.
