I came here to post about the gross hatefulness towards the gay and trans community, that I’ve seen over the last four days on twitter, thanks to a streamer who was anti-Covid protections, moved to Florida, and has taken a huge shift right, thinks deathsantis is the goat. Anyone telling him why his comment was wrong, has been called a pedo. A groomer. Call of duty removed his skin bundle in the game (costume/outfit), which really got them going. He’s grown rich thanks to gaming, has a massive audience, and said that he didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but also didn’t take the comment back. He hasn’t told the little arseholes to stop calling people groomers and pedos. He just wants the support, just like rumpy and any other “conservative”

A guy I follow, who talks about politics and current events, defended him at first. He said he wasn’t a hateful guy, he’s a friend of the show. The next day, after he’d doubled down, this guy couldn’t believe it, so now he’s one of the guys telling other people, why what he said was bad. He was explaining on the first day, but was surprised.

This is how you really get a conspiracy moving, and thanks to this streamer, any gay or trans person, or ally/supporter, is being called a pedo, by a wide range of ages, kids to adults. They are proving exactly why his comment was disgusting, and not only has he not acknowledged it, he’s had a few friends throw in and defend him, rather than say something like, “I love you, man, but you’re wrong here.”

There’s just no point in talking about this in it’s own thread, because you’ll agree with him. You’ll laugh, call them pedos, and probably get into gaming just long enough to throw some money his way, as a homophobe with a large audience.

A poll indicates that former President Donald Trump has widened his lead in the GOP primary following the Department of Justice’s indictment of him for allegedly mishandling classified documents at his Florida home.

Surveying 1,798 potential voters between June 9-10 with a margin of error ±3.3 points, the CBS News poll showed the former president had 61 percent support in the Republican primary, leading his opponent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by a full 38 points – 61 percent to 23 percent. Republican Sen. Tim Scott (SC) stands in third place with just 4 percent of support, just one point ahead of former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

It's all well and good, but the republicans alone will not win the WH. No party can win the presidency without independents and swing voters joining in.

So what we need to know is what are his poll numbers among independents and swing voters. They may sympathize and feel DT is being railroaded, but do they also think all this political drama surrounding him is a liability? After all, they do not have the intense loyalty to him that the MAGA base has.
