I see no way Jack Smith could have been legally/Constitutionally appointed 'Special Counsel by Meritless Garland.Jack Smith was not an employee of the Justice Dept at the time of his appointment. Jack Smith was not appointed by Biden and was not confirmed by the US Senate. Jack Smith was a private citizen at the time of his appointment. If the above is true, then Jack Smith has and had no authority to convene a Grand Jury, indict Trump and proceed with a prosecution. If the above is true, it blows 2 Jack Smith prosecutions out of the water. IP: Logged |

Judge Cannon is under tremendous pressure from Judges who have already pressured her to turn the case over to another Judge. Cannon declined to do so. There will be howling from the usual suspects if Judge Cannon throws out Jack Smith's case, which is a distinct possibility. This is a tough lady. IP: Logged |

Judge in Trump Documents Case Rejected Suggestions to Step AsideTwo federal judges in South Florida privately urged Aileen M. Cannon to decline the case when it was assigned to her last year, according to two people briefed on the matter. She chose to keep it. http://archive.vn/1GmaE#selection-479.0-483.196 IP: Logged |
