Initially, they held him only on weapons charges. He'll likely spend the rest of his life in prison. If they can prove he was working with Iran, then he should be executed.

Routh is reported to have said that his wife was bankrolling him.Mike Benz, former State Dept. Cyber, and Executive Director of Foundation for Freedom Online, is reporting that the wife ran the GoFundMe for Routh's Ukraine fundraising crusade, and was working for a U.S. defense contractor located in proximity to CIA headquarters. The question is what are the connections between Routh's family and the Department of Defense. It's officials and generals within DOD who have been behind every aspect of the coup against President Trump.

Then, there's the incident when Routh was returning to the U.S. from his travels abroad. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) flagged Routh as a suspicious individual to HSI, the law enforcement arm of DHS. HSI refused to investigate. So despite having a lengthy criminal record and deemed to be a suspicious individual by CBP, Routh was protected from CBP, the Justice Department, and HSI.It's looking like Routh was an asset of the deep state.
