Congratulations, Matt Gaetz, AG!For transparency, Matt is still under House investigation for "sex trafficking," which jwhop has shown are untrue allegations. The Feds dropped the case, but the House is investigating him for ethics violations. This will be a difficult nomination to get confirmed. He has a lot of enemies on Capitol Hill. He gave a fiery speech before where he pretty much said that the alphabet agencies (he just named several of them off in a row) should be eliminated if they don’t kneel (he used another word that I can’t recall). I’ll look for the direct quote.IP: Logged |

I thought jwhop already educated you over that set up? If he were guilty of any of the charges (including statutory rape) , you can bet your current AG would not have declined to pursue an indictment against him. He resigned, so the House ethics investigation is wiped clean. And hells to the yeah, I support him as the new AG. There is not only a presumption of innocence in this country, but Garland dropped the case. After what we just experienced, Gaetz is is going to bring integrity back to the office. IP: Logged |
