For those saying this is a crazy idea, prepare for a wake up call. We actually have a neutrality treaty with Panama (when we gave Panama the management of the canal in the 2990s) that if they fail to treat everyone fairly and equally, we have to right to militarily take over the canal. So, when China is taking control over the canal (Panama has rebuffed Taiwan to favor China), and China is using them canal to spy, then it becomes a security risk for the United States. They have violated their treaty with us. We have every legal right to retake the canal. They agreed to it.

Did you not read what I posted? Or did you not understand it? Or did you just read the subject, like you often do when you post a link to articles here? We have a treaty with Panama. They broke it. They agreed that we could take over the canal militarily if they violate our treaty. We should follow through on that promise. It is a matter of national security.
