I am going from memory, but I believe that authors have won Pulitzer's by writing debunked lies about President Trump.

Maybe he should sue the author instead. He would have to prove that the Pulitzer Prize Board acted out of malice, which will be quite difficult.

But at the very least, if the book was full of misinformation/lies, the Pulitzer board should rescind the award... Maybe this is why he is suing.
