The idea is that they will cause other countries to lower their tariffs. Let’s take a $50,000 Cadillac. If we try to sell it in the EU, it’s $65,000. In Vietnam, it’s $100,000. In India, they same car is $150,000. We are locked out of those markets. If those countries would lower their tariffs, Detroit would become Silicon Valley. Wages would go up, stocks would go up, and billions of people would be able to afford a Cadillac. You get to the Golden Age by opening up all these closed markets. Someone here mentioned the farmers. Japan charges us a 100% tariff on American rice! Imagine if we could sell rice to Japan!IP: Logged |

Because they are against anything Trump. All but 9 Dems were against voting for a CR that merely continued with the same Biden budget for another 6 months! it's irrational. It is truly TDS. IP: Logged |
