Obama did mass deportations of 3.4 million. Where were the due process cries? Crickets. You can’t jump the line to come into this country and then expect to get back in line to leave. This is especially true of those who are already convicted of violent felonies. And even more so of those who are members of terrorist organizations, which include certain gangs. IP: Logged |

Ideally, the answer would be yes. But when the Biden admin recklessly facilitated the invasion of 11 million illegal immigrants into the US, ideal conditions have flown out the window. We now have a crisis. It is impossible to give 11 millions of illegal immigrants due process. Just impossible. Due process would mean FOR EACH OF THOSE 11 millions, YEARS of litigation, court proceedings, court appearances, interviews, trials, appeals etc... We do not have the manpower, the judicial and financial ressources to do that. IP: Logged |

I am not even clear on the definition of Due Process when it comes to illegal immigrants.Does appearing once before a judge in a hearing, and if the judge decides you need to leave, you cannot appeal the decision, and you have to leave, is that Due Process? That would be the shortest course of Due Process. And even then, having to do that for 11 million people... However, . Abrego was in proceedings for years. He appeared before a number of judges and had a number of appeals. That took years! That was due process at the time... IP: Logged |

True. He has had his due process many times over. In one ruling, he was determined to be in MS-13. He was arrested in a room filled with MS-13. Ms-13 members don't hang out with anyone but other MS-13 members. In the appeal to the ruling, it was affirmed again that he was a member of the gang. He was deemed deportable--just not deportable to El Salvador. The Dems are digging their mid-term hole deeper and deeper. And two main facts have changed since then. 1. The rival gang he feared in El Salvador no longer exists, so that temporary order should now technically be invalid. 2. MS-13 is now designated a domestic terror organization. IP: Logged |

Due process is for those who have legitimate claims of asylum (although their hearings are years into the future), not for immigrants who break into the country. And when they miss their asylum hearing dates, they are then fully deportable. IP: Logged |
