Despite promising cuts in government spending, the Trump administration spends $220 billion more compared to government spending during the same period last year. This means that the debt is growing and combined with the higher interest rates, this could lead to even more expenses.

So either Trump increases taxes or he cuts Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. And maybe even both. If he sticks with his tariffs, consumers are going to spend less and it will definitely cause small businesses to fail. The recession that will follow will lower tax returns and if he remains unwilling to tax the 1%, he's will go after Social Security.

It's not a crystal ball. The biggest fixed expenditures on the budget are Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. How will he finance tax cuts if there's a recession? Will he just let the debt explode? In that case, inflation will rise and the dollar will go down. But we will see what happens.

When is trump being deported? 34 felony counts. He was found guilty of fraud, and other things. He still owes E. Jean Carroll money.

It’s a little thing called an appeal. American citizens don’t get deported. Those charges were fake. Let’s see how Letitia James fares.

I doubt it. Those tariffs will bite. We'll see where things stand in september. I've decided to take a break from posting on U.S. politics on this forum. I've said what I wanted to say for now.

All of President Trump’s detractors have been wrong about just about everything. A recession is defined as three quarters of negative GDP growth. Let’s assume this is one for President Trump. Agreed that September is a good month to assess the actions being taken.
