Your being a bit disingenuous.Let me clarify.
While your not wrong that Honda will be producing vehicles in the US, this applies for the EV models only.
The non EV models will still be produced in Canada.
http://www.reuters.com/business/a utos-transportation/honda-make-90-us-sales-locally-by-relocating-mexico-canada-production-nikkei-2025-04-15/
This makes sense because the batteries are imported from the US and are subjected to counter tariffs when imported to Canada.
Then once the EV vehicle is assembled and exported back to the US it will be tariffed again.
So it doesn't make sense for a vehicle to be tariffed at least twice, if not more.
Especially for an EV vehicle because the price will be pushed above $100k.
Plus all of the infrastructure to support EV production is in the US.
For the Alison, Ont plant all the tooling equipment, training is already set up here...you can't move a factory overnight.
So production will continue on both sides of the border.
We've been hearing talks about this since the start of April 2025, this isn't new news up here.
