Yes, these members of Congress stormed an ICE detention center. But we are not going to call it an "insurrection".

They weren't storming it!

But the January 6'ers did. So, what's your problem? You are outright supporting fascism. Why?

They didn't. They were protesting.

I'm so sick of the gaslighting.

No matter what this Administration tells the American people, the law is very clear: Members of Congress have a legal right to enter any DHS detention facility to conduct oversight without prior notice - something I’ve done twice this year without issue.

After Mayor Baraka was arrested yesterday, DHS officials let us conduct our tour as is required by law. So despite the Admin’s attempts to spin this, they know we had every right to be there and enter the facility. If you ignore the spin, you’ll see there is only one accurate narrative - ours.

Yes this was not a storming, this was an attempt to get the Trump administration to follow the law, which means due process for deportations.

The Trump admin is wiping their arses with the constitution and want to recreate the law in Trumps image. He is a tyrant with no regard for US history and his follower are brainwashed sheeps. See: nazi Germany.

According to DHS:

https://www.dhs.gov/news/2025/05/09/members-congress-break-delaney-hall-detention-cent er

Members of Congress storming into a detention facility goes beyond a bizarre political stunt and puts the safety of our law enforcement agents and detainees at risk.
Members of Congress are not above the law and cannot illegally break into detention facilities. Had these members requested a tour, we would have facilitated a tour of the facility. This is an evolving situation,”
said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

2 conflicting interpretations of the law. We will see who has the law on their sides...

Trump advisory board member pushes for Jan. 6 as national holiday to ‘honor American heroes’

Jan. 6 should be a national holiday, one Trump advisory board member declared, guaranteeing that in 10 years “it will look like July 4.”

The push to create a new US holiday “has been on my mind for four years, I just didn’t have the chutzpah to talk about it,” Jason Meister, 43, told The Post.

“That would be the biggest way to honor these American heroes who risked their lives, freedom and honor to protest what they perceived to be a stolen election.”

The former Trump surrogate, who sits on the Trump 2020 Advisory Board, is also pushing for J6 “political prisoners” to sing the National Anthem at the 2027 NFL Draft, which is set to take place at the National Mall.

The New Jersey risk specialist, who was in the Big Apple when protestors stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, plans to raise the issue with Trump the next chance he gets.

Meister also hopes to see the J6ers memorialized in Trump’s “National Garden of American Heroes” monument, which is scheduled to open in time for the US’ 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

So, insurrectionists are American heroes, and politicians who did not storm anything, should be arrested?

They did request a tour. They made him an example.

The members of Congress put lives at risk. No one is above the law. I’ve heard that two ICE agents were assaulted. The truth will be revealed. They have video. You have been wrong more times than I can count. And every time you say “Insurrectionists,” you sound like a mindless drone parroting nonsense. No one was arrested for insurrection. The only person murdered was an unarmed veteran female. Yet, those you support burned cities to the ground and actually killed people, so they could get some free Nikes and flat screen TVs.

They requested a tour?? So why are they now claiming as an excuse for storming the ICE Center that "Members of Congress have a legal right to enter any DHS detention facility to conduct oversight without prior notice -"

Why would people who think they have the legal right to enter without prior notice request a tour?

I saw the body cam footage. They shoved and elbowed ICE agents. If anyone else had stormed the facility, they would have been arrested on the spot. The mayor was asked to leave, and he refused, so he was charged with trespassing.

If these people were illegally prevented to enter a facilicy that they have legal right to enter without notice, they would be sueing ICE/DHS! And they would be later vindicated in a court of law. So let's see if they sue...
