Curious to know how the posters on this board fee. Providing work is available, should able bodied adults (except mothers of children under 7) be required to work to receive medical, foods, rental assistance/benefits? YES or NO? And WHY do you feel this way? IP: Logged |

Yes and no. My main opposition is with the age limit exemption for work requirements with SNAP. It used to be 52. Then it went up to 54. Now it is set for a 10-year increase to 65 in the new big, beautiful bill. Seniors are one of the most food insecure groups. Why can't seniors ever get a break? Maybe another 2-year increase like last time would be fine--to 56, but 58 at the most, in my opinion. IP: Logged |

You don’t believe that. Where was all your fearmongering under Biden’s high inflation? Inflation is down, prices are down, unemployment is down, and the only bread lines are going to be in your mind.IP: Logged |

When Arkansas implemented Medicaid work requirements, 18,000 people lost health care in 7 months — and there were no significant employment changes. If Republicans do this nationwide, 36 million Americans could lose health care. Work requirements are CUTS for people who often cannot work. http://www.threads.com/@repjayapal/post/DJ9naK2OdXb?xmt=AQF0_rwF0yVRLg5t wYM8oEjwhQGAALfgjX88bNty-jdbug

I think the thread is being derailed and i am not sure why.It is a simple question: Providing work is available, should able bodied adults (except mothers of children under 7) be required to work to receive medical, foods, rental assistance/benefits? YES or NO? And WHY do you feel this way? I am genuinely curious. Let’s keep to the subject matter, and maybe i can learn something new. IP: Logged |
