"U.S. consumer confidence has improved in May after five months of decline, primarily due to easing trade tensions and tariff pauses. The consumer confidence index has rebounded by 12.3 points to 98, recovering from 85.7 in April, the lowest level recorded since the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Developments in U.S.-China trade negotiations have reportedly contributed to the growth."
