No, if you do one of the latter things listed, that could kill a police officer. That's self-defense, not authoritarianism or fascism, and deadly force would be justified in the state of Florida. "If you throw a brick, a fire bomb or point a gun..."

Wow. You never cease to amaze me.

The Sheriff CLEARLY stated he welcomes peaceful protests. So he was addressing those intent on rioting and yes, he was threatening them. And I think it's a beautiful thing. Rioting is not protected by the Constitution.

If you are stupid enough to point a gun at a police officer, you deserve what you get. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Do you think that the officer is going to shoot the gun out of your hand? This isn't a cowboy movie. The proper procedure is to shoot "center body mass." The same goes for fire-bombs and deadly projectiles.
