First of all, it's a YouGov poll, and y'all know what I think about them.

Second, the support is tenuous and dependent on how fast this conflict can be resolved. Most republicans I talk to do NOT want the US to get involved in a protracted war with Iran, similar to what happend in Irak and Afghanistan. The support simply is not there for that.

No one said anything about a war. No one other than a few war hawks want that. The poll is about the support for the strike (easy to say AFTER the successful strike).
