In a blistering social media post Wednesday morning, President Trump took aim at his supporters who are upset with the administration’s handling of files related to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender whose connections to wealthy figures have been a subject of intense interest among vocal portions of his base.

Mr. Trump distanced himself from those who have criticized him, calling them “PAST supporters” who had “bought into this ‘******** ,’ hook, line, and sinker.”

Mr. Trump also claimed that outrage over the Justice Department’s decision to not release additional information and close the investigation was just the latest “scam” cooked up by Democrats.

“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work,” he wrote, “don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

In doing so, Mr. Trump turned to an old playbook: attempting to reframe politically unfavorable issues as the work of Democrats and his political opponents.

He has previously sought to blame Democrats for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, poor economic news during his term and now his administration's decision to withhold some documents in the government's investigation of Mr. Epstein.

But the discontent over the Trump administration’s handling of the so-called Epstein files has stemmed from the right, and Democrats merely joined the fray after seeing a splintering of Mr. Trump’s MAGA supporters, many of whom feel betrayed.

Contrary to the way we have been portrayed by the left, we are not sheep and fanatics blindly following a leader. We actually have morals and lines in the sand. Unlike the dems/left.

We draw lines at children being abused. That is why we are pro-life, we are against sexual mutilation and gender experimentations on children. We will not back down on this Epstein thing, even if it costs us Trump.

Trump will come around. Mercury Rx in Leo, his rising sign is hitting him pretty hard, and he is already triple gemini, also a signed ruled by Mercury, but I believe that eventually, he will come around. So I am going to wait until Mercury goes direct to see how all this unfolds.
