Of course the crackdown is working. There has not been any homicide since Trump take over of local policing.

By the time the year will be over, DC will be on track to have the lowest homicide stats for decades!

By the way, for those who claim Black Lives Matter, you should be happy, Blacks were disproportionately represented as victims of crime in DC

The victims and suspects of homicides and nonfatal shootings in the District of Columbia are primarily male, Black, and between the ages of 18–34. Within the period of this study, nearly 91% of victims and suspects in homicides and 88% of victims and suspects in nonfatal shootings were male. About 95% of victims and suspects in homicides and 94% of victims and suspects in
nonfatal shootings were Black, despite Black residents comprising only 46% of the overall population in the District (Table 1).
