THIS IS WILD! The country has the highest incidence of skin cancers in the world and it is estimated that two out of three Australians will have at least one cut out in their lifetime. They have been applying sunscreen religiously since they were children, and now they are finding out that several of their most popular, and expensive, sunscreens are not providing the protection they claim to provide. Details here: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gzl41rpdqo?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us Apparently, most of the "Certification" for SPF are fraudulent. And this issue is probably not just Australian sunscreens. IP: Logged |

There is also some concern that chemicals in the sunscreen can cause cancer. Years ago, the Marines (not Navy) did a study that found low rates of skin cancer with those who spent days on ships.IP: Logged |

Well, there is that too!But what is outrageous is that those sunscreens manufacturers were making sun protections SPF claims that were not substantiated. Lulling people into thinking that they were safe. IP: Logged |
