I wouldn’t be surprised if that “wrong person” was part of a distraction to divert attention, waste time and resources so that the real shooter would have ample time to get away. IP: Logged |

Sounds feasible. Someone spotted him lying prone on the roof and recorded him. He was wearing all black and a black mask and black gloves. After the shot, people began running. Ge probably had a collapsible weapon they he could put in a backpack and then put on a white jacket to blend into the crowd. Someone like this is a hero to the far left lunatic fringe, and he will not be able to resist bragging to a few of who he thinks are close friends, but someone will have a moral base and rat him out. There is a $100,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest. They have very clear pics (screen grabs) of him (people will know who that person is, despite the sunglasses) that were released and video footage that is not being released yet (it will show how he walks, and some will recognize that gait. The video tracks him coming on to the campus and up the stairwells to the roof. They also have him leaving the campus. They have palm and firearm prints. They recovered a high-powered bolt action rifle left in the woods (with ammo). Something was written on the rifle and on the shell casing. It wouldn't have fit in his backpack, so it was placed on the roof in advance. He was a skilled marksman. Kirk was obscured by a tent, and the shooter was 200 yards away, so the shot took skill. They think this person of interest (so they won’t get sued if wrong) might be on the list of persons who opposed of Kirk coming on campus. He is college aged. With all this information, it looks like they will be able to identify the killer and only a matter of time before he is found and captured. That's a good thing.

The State of Utah will pursue the death penalty. They released the cell video and two surveillance videos of him running across the roof, jumping off the roof, and walking across campus (which they retraced to find the weapon). It will be difficult to use the DNA (the palm print was from when he was holding on to drop from the roof, abc then the shoe (Converse) impression as he landed) to identify him if he never had DNA collected or fingerprints if he was never arrested. They still claim there was currently no evidence Mr Zinn colluded with the gunman, but, ummm I don't believe there is no collusion. Who, at a time like this, when someone is just shot in front of you, will claim to be the shooter to help the shooter escape, if there is no collusion?? IP: Logged |
