In the wake of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, thousands of social media posts appear to list politically conservative targets for assassination by the political left. Those on the list include podcaster Joe Rogan, Harry Potter author JK Rowling, conservative political commentators Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh, among others. In response to being targeted, Rowling, said, “If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal. If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist. If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian. If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.” Shapiro said, “We will never stop debating and discussing. We will never stop standing up for what America is and what she should be. And we will never let Charlie’s voice die.” Walsh also said people were sending him screenshots of posted death threats, saying, “A lot of concerned people are sending me these screenshots (and dozens more). I appreciate their concern. But I’m not surprised and I won’t be going into hiding. We have to be louder and bolder now than ever. Or else the demons who killed Charlie win. And they cannot win.” http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/after-kirk-assassination-political-left-social-media-posts-list-next-targets/ar-AA1MrpGl?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=68c56fc87da8494887ee4766d04 7cc0d&ei=9 No, the left isn't violent at all. Rowling nailed it with what she said.

This is BS, Charlie Kirk's shooter Tyler Robinson is not left wing, he's alt right. He's a groyper.Stop pretending there's an extreme left wing conspiracy for violence. It has been proven time and time again that the extreme right is much more dangerous. http://ccjs.umd.edu/feature/umd-led-study-shows-disparities-violence-among-extremist-groups IP: Logged |

All those burning buildings and attacking cops were just an illusion. Posting a link proves nothing. IP: Logged |

You don’t see the right with an assassination list. IP: Logged |

There is very recent news saying that the shooter's roommate who he was in a relationship with was a trans person in the process of transitioning. That person is said to be cooperating with the FBI. That wouldn't surprise me, but i will wait until this news becomes official before I give my thoughts. IP: Logged |

So...It's kind of official that the shooter was not a groyper (whatever that means, as I don't care to google the left's lies) or in anyway right wing. He was in a relationship with a trans who was in the process of transitioning from male to female. Question:Is Joe Rogan and JK Rowling considered right wing by most here? I haven't seen much of Rogan, but he sounded a bit like a hippie to me (his reverence for psychedelic drugs as just one example) who backed Bernie Sanders. And JK Rowling seems leftist to me, such as opposing Brexit as racist. She seems to agree with her critics on almost everything except trans, and even on trans she's just against trans intruding into women's spaces, which strikes me as moderate territory. Is it accurate to include JK Rowling with the moderate left and Rogan as more libertarian with some sympathy for the likes of Bernie Sanders? I ask because if the radical left would target them, then they'd target anyone who was not far left (including centrist/moderate left), anyone who does not bend the knee to them in all ways (even parrot them, as words are violence, silence is violence) is dehumanized as a Nazi (and there have been other murders and assassinations by the left lately even before the mass celebrations and now murder list). And given how murderous socialist regimes tend to be it's a sobering thought that we're already entering into that territory. I might comment more elsewhere. I've been tempted, but I'm not anywhere as passionate about partisan politics as most here. Though I'm sure the far left considers me a Nazi, too. Everyone who doesn't march in step is a Nazi to them to the point that now when I hear the word "Nazi" I automatically dismiss it as a meaningless buzz word for reasons like why people stopped listening to the word "wolf" because of the boy who always cried it when there was no wolf. I appreciate your commentary, PJ. Rogan was a lefty until right before the election when he endorsed Trump. After having Musk on, he changed his mindset. Then I watched he and Trump on the podcast, and it was a sight to behold. Now I think he is probably left of center. Rowling was a lefty who spoke up for the science. The left canceled her (or tried to). Not sure where she stands now, but it certainly isn’t far left. And she certainly isn’t considered right-wing.IP: Logged |
