It was a stupid comment, but what else is new with Kimmel?? He is quite popular on the left and I think it's a mistake to cancel him because I don't believe in censorship like that. People like Kimmel will just fester underground... and I think it is better to know what they are thinking and saying... Let them be naturally cancelled through loss of popularity and their show becoming worthless. That is the best organic way to have these people go by the wayside. IP: Logged |

I need to revise what I said. Jimmy Kimmel is NOT censored. He has NOT been deplatformed.We went through censorship and deplatforming during Covid when people were forbidden to have their brand on regular social media and they had to go underground. We have seen and we know what censorship is. That is not what is happening here. Jimmy Kimmel can go and start his own Youtube Channel or X channel or TikTok, or whatever, and continue to be Jimmy Kimmel, just like Tucker Carlson did after being fired from Fox. “Indefinitely.” It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. For years, the left could say anything and be protected. He’s deserved this for a long time. So what? His employer fired him. That’s not fascism. Dozens of stations refused yobsit it first. That’s freedom of choice. It’s also called “accountability.” He got himself fired because he told one too many lies. He claimed the shooter was not a leftist. He was wrong. He should have known better. Guess we were right. I hope this will serve as a warning to the rest of them. Guess you will have to get your Nazi and other words brainwashing from some other source now.

Anyone claiming that Charlie Kirk was just exercising his freedom of speech, but is cheering on the silencing of everyone critical of the Trump administration, is a massive hypocrite. What Kimmel said wasn't even close to the hate that is regularly spewed by conservative podcast hosts and FOX. The Trump administration and anyone that supports them, is now openly embracing fascism. I hope you all will come to your senses because history shows this never ends well. You will have to live with that shame and embarrassment for the rest of your lives. South Korea will make the detaining of Hyundai personel a human's right issue. And rightfully so. ICE is an absolute disgrace, kidnapping people based on looks and language, and mistreating them in custody. Laughing that you haven't lost any rights and not caring about the treatment of other people, will come back to haunt you. Not only is it inhumane and deeply shameful, it has consequences.
