With the Espionage Act, it doesn’t matter whether possession is negligent or intentional. Many of the documents still have classified markings on them. It’s o er a thousand pages. He is charged with 8 counts of transmission of national defense info (he sent them to friends and family over email and messaging apps from his AOL account) and 10 counts of retention of national defense info. Each count comes with up to 10 years. A federal judge in 2020 warned him that he was gambling with national security and exposing himself to criminal charges and tried to block the book, but the info had already been released by his publisher. He is claiming now that the files were cleared for his “memoirs,” but by who? And most were completely unrelated to topics in his book. Of course, he is screaming about weaponization. All of these crooks need to keep saying that for the people in the back. Say it long and loud. Make the Dems fear who is going to be next. That should stop genuine weaponization in the future. Get as many as you can. Go after all of them who have broken the law. As high as Top Secret. The indictment is filled with detail to support each charge: Missile launches, future attacks, covert ops, sources and methods, strategic communications, and weapons of mass destruction. To make this more damning for him, his email and messaging apps were hacked by Iran. This is exactly what the Espionage Act was designed to prevent. His defense attorney should be very worried. He is also claiming that these are old documents. That doesn’t matter. Iran hacked all the sensitive material not in the book. 🤡

This clown's "defenses" are a joke. There is no defense. It is indefensible to possess classified docs. The fact that they seized over a thousand pages--many of which were TOP SECRET--is as damning as it gets. IP: Logged |
