It was a nationwide day of protests across all 50 states (and some international solidarity events) opposing what organizers described as “authoritarian” or “monarchical” tendencies of President Donald Trump’s second term.
More than 2,500-2,700 individual rallies were planned for that day in towns, cities, suburbs across the U.S.
Organizers and some media estimate that nearly 7 million people took part nationwide on October 18.
The protests used a slogan like “No Thrones, No Crowns, No Kings” to emphasize the democratic versus authoritarian framing.
Major cities had large turnouts (e.g., Boston’s rally reportedly drew over 100,000 people) and many smaller towns also held events. IP: Logged |

I think they can protest and take to the streets all they want-As long as it is peaceful. Therefore proving to the world that they do not actually live under an authoritarian King. The rest of us who ´ voted for this ´can continue enjoying ourselves on weekends, working, resting, vacationing, visiting families, dining out, partying, you know, having a life. 😁 IP: Logged |

Trump and his admin is doing everything they can including dictating how funds should be spend during the shutdown.
Protect your rights and make sure a dictator doesn't take it away. The rally is justified.
You should be lucky that Bernie has not called for war yet. Because Trump is not King yet.

I doubt there were 7 million people protesting but regardless, what exactly did they achieve besides blowing off some steam?The Trump admin is not going to change course. The problem with the dems is that when peaceful protests do not achieve what they want, they quickly turn to violence… but Antifa, their foot soldiers, is now being dealt with… so what will the dems do when they realize their peaceful protests are not yielding results??🤔 IP: Logged |
