America was supposed to be the military muscle of the west. Out of $1, 70 cents was paid to America for Canadas security.

Covid has taught all countries to be self reliant and not depend on others. So good decision Canada. America is not king of the world. It is better for America as well. Drop your colonist attitude. The world is changing and become multi polar.
