The USA World Cup didn’t think the Pride Day event through. Crickets from the left! The same Dems who have been conspicuously quiet for years about gay people being thrown off buildings. What gives? 🤷‍♀️

What is "Gay Soccer Game"?

I really wish they took politics, identity and social justice out of sports.

Iran and Egypt were slated to participate, even though both countries criminalize homosexuality

Here are some details:

June 26, 2026
The World Cup Pride Day event in Seattle is a unique and significant occasion that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community amidst the backdrop of two countries with severe anti-LGBTQ laws. The Pride Match, scheduled for June 26, 2026, at Lumen Field, is set to be the first of its kind at a FIFA World Cup. Despite the challenges posed by the anti-LGBTQ laws in Egypt and Iran, the event aims to honor the LGBTQ+ community and promote visibility and acceptance. The Seattle organizing committee has established a Pride Match Advisory Committee to manage the event's communications, community activations, and cultural programming. This initiative is a testament to the ongoing efforts to address LGBTQ+ rights and the importance of inclusivity in sports and cultural events.

With all due respect to people's sexual orientation, I am so over politics being injected into sports and Olympics. Let the athletes play in peace!

I look forward to a time when sports and olympics will be considered neutral territory and politics free.
