They are awaiting trial in a New York jail. One of the many helicopters were fired upon and hit, but it was still able to fly. No Americans were harmed in the operation. Of course, Dems are crying: "Free Maduro!" Idiots.

To be honest, i am not comfortable with the abduction of a sitting president.
The legalities are rather murky, and forcing regime change in another country has not worked well for the US in the past, so i dunno.

I appreciate your honesty. Regime change was not the purpose. He was given a chance to leave. He was arrested with the aid of the military. This is a very bad guy. Maduro is not the legitimate president. Biden did not recognize him. The EU does not recognize him. Practically no country does, except for Iran, Russia, and China.

I don’t care about Maduro. Politics in these parts of the world is unpredictable at best. I am just hoping we are not getting into another drawn out international conflict.

Like i said i have misgivings, but i hope i am wrong. If this truly makes a dent in the global plague of drug trafficking, then that’s great, and i will retroactively applaud this turn of events.

And thank you for the added information on Maduro. I had not kept up with what was happening with his government so i was not aware it was not recognized by the international community.

You're welcome. Also, Maduro was indicted in 2020. Biden increased the bounty on him but didn't go as far as to arrest him.
