On the day before Juneteenth, Obama opened up his $850 million dollar library that was months behind schedule and double over budget. One problem (besides how utterly underwhelming inside and visibly unflattering outside the eyesore is), Obama didn’t pay the Black-owned Chicago businesses for their work. The subcontractors are owed from several hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions, and some are having to go bankrupt from all the time and money that they devoted to the project. Also, people were displaced from their homes because property taxes and rents went through the roof in the area because of this monstrosity that was partially funded by taxpayer dollars.
