My mum had been resting in hospital with pre-pre-eclampsia and had an emergency section because she began bleeding heavily after a nurse turned her baby (me).

Anyway I am a Libran but was due two or three weeks after I was born and therefore perhaps would have been a Scorpio if things had progressed naturally.

So ever since I've known about astrology I have found myself identifying so closely with Scorpio, and I wonder if there is something in this... Am I perhaps feeling the genetic pre-dispostion of the Scorpio influence that I should have been? Has anyone else had the experience of feeling a sort of loss for what sign they should have been? Or perhaps that their sun sign doesn't feel like the right fit?

Are you a Virgo Nicki?
Maybe it's a Libran thing then to identify so closely with another sign? I have karma in Scorpio though which is kind of weird

As to Astrology and premmie vs full term or late births.
In my research concerning birth/life/death/reincarnation;
I have made some curious discoveries!

We have our Sun sign.
However in my research,
the most important thing is at what point in the foetal development does the soul move into the body?
Well, it seems to be at around 12 weeks, or 3 months;
for everyone except body theives/ie;walkins.
That is the time known by ancients,
as
"The Quickening".
Before 11 1/2 weeks; statistics show that the miscarriage rates can be as high as 33%.
Also many times one does not even know they were pregnant.
The foetal body has not developed its "brain
wrinkles", the convolutions of the brain until after about the 3rd. month.
It relies on the auric field of its host, the mother, until it develops an aura of its own.
Only then can a soul move safely in.
Before that, things are simply not ready for a soul, and death in womb too big a possibility.
Also, the cases of the "disappearing twin"
an not uncommon thing.
I have experienced this via over 26 pregnancies.
Until 12 weeks, one foetus can die, or be absorbed by the other.
Now to the Astrological effects.
I was born November 3rd.Scorpio.
Opposite sign =Taurus for a full term baby.
Was supposed to be January 4th. Capricorn.
Opposite sign=Cancer.
So;
my soul came in whilst the Sun was in Cancer,
in context of was supposed to be Capricorn,
not Taurus as would have been for a full term Scorpio.

quote:
These are the six pairs of Opposite Signs:
Aries/Libra, Taurus/Scorpio, Gemini/Sagittarius, Cancer/Capricorn, Leo/Aquarius, Virgo/Pisces.

However, if premmie, or late,
one must take into account the normal 40 week full term due date to ascertain what the true opposite sign/date would be.
So I am actually Scorpio/Cancer;
not Scorpio/Taurus.

Calculations are simple.
Take your actual date that you were supposed to be born on and go back 24, 7 day weeks exact.
You will find your actual day, hour, and minute that your soul moved into your body.
{once you know the time of course, can only be know after being born)

the above information copyrighted 1997 excerpted paraphrased from my manuscript/research

whoa....my niece was born nov. 3rd!!

my other comment i want to make was that i think babies are born at the time they were meant to be or desired to be...for example i was carried for 10 months and my mom was in labor with me for 4 days...i came when i felt i should come...maybe it was the scorpio energy in me

If you were born 4 weeks;
ie;
28 days late;
then your opposite sign is not earth Taurus, but fire Aries.
Would explain much of your fiery passionate nature.
Like;
I am Scorpio, my being premmie makes for my
opposite sign to be water Cancer, not earth Taurus.
So lol!
I am very watery and rather fireless astro wise.
As to being born when it is right for each baby,
yes,
I agree, as in your case, you were simply carried longer, held out longer because of your wanting to be Scorpio, not Libran.
And I came early, for the same reason, so it seems, because I wanted and I needed to be Scorpio not Capricorn.

Based on my research;
your opposite sign is Taurus, because you were slated to be a Scorpio.
It is not Libra/Aries, but Libra/Taurus.

I'm sorry you had all those miscarriages lexx. That is a lot of loss to cope with !

Thanks for your insight, very interesting!

Thank you SunChild.
Well yes,
it was all heartbreaking.
However it did aid very muchly my research as to when a soul enters the foetal body.
Most were fortunately 10 to 11 week losses, before the "Quickening"
But a few others occurred after the "Quickening"
A few 4 to 5 months.
Feeling movement. life, sensing them.....,
then the sense of their souls leaving,
and having within my womb, only the terrible dark void, still, sudden silence.
Those were the very hardest to cope with, because I knew "someone was living within my womb" with those losses.
Some were twins dying days apart and the horrible wait until corpses passed from my body....

Hopefully my findings can give some comfort and peace to those folks who have experienced loss of pregnancy before the 12th. week.

Fascinating! I am Virgo but was about 11 days early, I should have been a Libra.

So my soul is Virgo/Aries, not Virgo/Pisces?

That explains a lot, LEXX, thank you.

Yes!
Your soul is tagged to experience your life and express it as a Virgo/Aries, not Virgo/Pisces in this incarnation.

this is fascinating stuff and actually makes sense... The opposite signs therefore should relate to the type of partner you attract as in general astrology? I do tend to attract more sensual guys and Taurus describes that quite well.

Only one problem I have Lexx is that Linda Goodman did not see the soul as entering the body until the baby was born and equating to the first breath...
However is the soul is consciousness then there is an amount of conscious thought being shown in foetus movement.... or could that be mainly reactive response conditioning happening in the brain.
What exactly is the soul then... it is so difficult to define.
In her starsigns book Linda wrote a lexigram on abortion saying that the foetus does not contain the soul and it is not therefore real murder as such, but rather the baby is still part of the mother's soul and conscious ness at that stage.

I however was regressed a while back and I discovered (I think) that I died in the womb before this birth time. I assumed it meant that my soul died or that a different soul was assumed to my body that had been previously. This would imply though that the soul was part of the foetus in the womb.
I would like to add that it was external forces that brought on the labour since the nurse that performed the external cephalic version, possibly turned me in such a way that abrupted the placenta, the cord was wrapped around my neck so emergency section.... this implies that I did not chose to be born at that time? Also with induction too this might be the case?

However I think it could be different for each individual and that the soul can join the body at the quickening stage, later in pregnancy or at birth depending on the evolutionary or soul's purpose for this lifetime...

This is such interesting stuff!

I was a week overdue and they induced my mom.Still born under the same sign just a different date.My mom said the first thing she did after I came out was ask what the time was lol.She isn't into astro at all so it was odd for her to want to know.She said it made sense later when I showed interest in astro and asked her my time of birth

She and my dad also had a name picked out in advance yet when the nurse came with the paperwork for her to fill out,my mom says she went completely blank and the name they had discussed for months was like it was zapped from her mind and the one I currently have came to her immediately The funny thing is,the name they had originally planned on giving me is such a simple name to remember lol

Yes and no...

I was supposed to be born in early December (around the 1st to the 4th) but by the 15th I hadn't arrived. My mom's doc was heading out for vacation so on the 15th he induced labor and I was born at 11:45pm on the 16th. I did NOT want to come out but when I did the world became a better place LOL... Okay, maybe not the world but at least my mom was relieved to get me out after the hours and hours of labor.

My little Scorp nephew was supposed to be born around the 23rd or 25th of November but my Sister-in-Law said one Sag in the family (my brother) was enough and opted to have a C-section on the 19th of November. She actually asked me for the cut off dates. Oddly enough, my Scorp nephew has many Sag attributes (He has Mercury in Sag and Pluto in Sag in the 9th house plus an Aries rising).

As I posted to SunChild:
quote:
Up until 10 weeks after the last menstrual period.....
it is called an embryo.
This is before the body can generate an auric field of its own.

After 10 weeks it is called a foetus/fetus.
By 12 weeks it has begun the convolutions of the brain, and is now able to generate its own auric field, and attract a soul to it.
That is when the quickening includes the soul/body/aura of an entire living being.
That moment when the soul enters the foetal body, is rarely felt by the mother, but some sense the new soul has entered.
The usual time to feel the movement is around the 16th. week.
That is the quickening most notice.
So,
1. Q1=the soul quickening/soul entering body; about 3 months/12 weeks
2. Q2=the mother feeling it move for the first time, about 4 months/16 weeks

SunChild said:
quote:
So my question is... I was around 17 weeks when I was taken to have an abortion (I was extremely ignorant and did not know how my baby was developed ~ I was told lies and I was far too young) Although a part of me really loved this baby (a deep feeling I had inside)....

I replied:
quote:
Yes, you had sensed that "someone was home" for about 5 weeks already. That was why you felt love.
The soul felt it too. Do not mourn that. It was a real exchange, cut short by the extreme influences of others, not by you for complying with what they wanted.
SunChild replied:
quote:
It hurts so bad to know that's what may have happened!!I always thought it was at first breath?
I replied:
quote:
No,
sorry, my research indicates not at first breathe but at 12 weeks.
I am sorry, but I must say that the soul was there for about 5 weeks already.
You would not have felt love for an empty vessel.
That is one reason I highly disagree with Linda Goodman concerning pregnancy.
That love exchange whilst in utero betwixt mother and child would not happen if there was only an empty vessel within.
