I saw some of the beautiful Australian landscape in the movie Kangaroo Jack. Hilarious movie, by the way.

Yes Ami, I see you are going through alot. That is why I said that.

firecracker, I was just listening to Katy Perry's firework as I read your post, lol.

Australia is great, but I love the US just as much. Went to Indiana last year for a week, it was the middle of summer. So beautiful there. Here in Australia I don't see that much greenery, it's very dry even in the forested areas.

Don't you have a lot of venomous species there? I would have to get used to checking my shoes for critters before putting them on.

I live near the beach, no desert here unless you go onto the sand :P

Randall, out of the 10 species of deadly land snakes Australia has 8 of them.

Here is a list of venomous animals in Australia

Snakes: Black snakes, brown snakes, copperheads, death adders, fierce snakes, rough scaled snakes, sea snakes, taipans, tiger snakes.

Arthropods: Funnel web spiders, redback spiders, white-tailed spiders, mouse spiders, bees, beetles, centipedes, millipedes, scorpions, stinging ants, ticks, wasps, caterpillars.

Marine creatures: Blue ringed octopuses, cone snails, jellyfish, sea snakes, stinging fish, stingrays, stonefish

Others: Platypuses

--
Was always taught to check my shoes, especially when out in the bush (woods).

I've not seen many snakes, my dad always killed red belly black snakes that came into our backyard, to protect my siblings and I.

A few months ago, I found a spider on my wall that was as big as my hand. I still don't know what kind of spider it was, but I had never seen one that huge. It really freaked me out, so much that I stood on a chair while I sprayed it in case it fell onto the floor and ran near me.

In keeping with the thread title, I'd like to make Kim Kardashian disappear.

Other things on the list would be: stretchmarks, my ex, infomercials, junk mail, telemarketers, thong bikinis (sure you may have a great butt but not everybody needs to see it), my ex's mother (she recently cut all my daughter's hair off because she had headlice), and I'll add headlice to the list of course. I could go on and on.

Wouldn't it be nice

It would be nice if all bad things could disappear and there could be peace and love.
I would like a world like that.
I know you would,too, Princess.
Blessings

I found the missing string. I couldn't find it before on the server, because it was never deleted and not in the deleted file. The glitch put a 1920 date on it, so it is on the last page. If everyone is okay with it, I really should delete it before it crashes the whole Forum.

The platypus is one of the few mammals to produce venom. Males have a pair of spurs on their hind limbs. The male's pair of spurs spits out a cocktail of poisons that, while excruciatingly painful, is not lethal to most animals...

Just an FYI.

human nature when it is not stopped to make things it doesn't like or serve its interests, to go away/eliminate.

If you had the means to rid the things you don't like, and nothing could stop you, what would stop you?

Probably another human wanting to stop/make go away/eliminate what you are doing.

BS round circle.

*Note: i put "nothing could stop you" in there on purpose to create the correct frame of mind for the reader. You have a strong ego that believes itself invincible.

*The second is because another human always finds a way to get you.

If you could envision the human race trying to climb a ladder all at the same time, squabbling and fighting over position all the way to the top.

ego's competing over position to control what happens in the world.

No point in life other than pursuing ones own interest.

*Yawn

mblake have you come across the crab bucket metaphor for life? if you put a bunch of crabs in a bucket they will immediately try to climb out. climbing over each other to get to the tob, ie pushing the others down to get where they want to go.

and if one crab should actually get his claws on the rim and in position to GET over the top, those below will PULL HIM DOWN - and they say crabs are without feelings! including spite and malice.
