I use to have a fear of hieghts and the sight of blood or mentioning of it, but I grew out of those fears.

Im not sure what I am afraid of nowadays..

The talk of fear, has got me wanting to go amusement park road tripping, I need to do something nice for myself, all this school work, bleh weather, stress, and mixed up feelings are driving me crazy.

I can not wait for my trip to Vegas, so I can be zaney with the Cap and my new found Gem friend.

Maybe the Saturn, Pluto, and Neptune like to have relfective tea party with deep discussions about life, but the Uranus in me wants freedom and new places.

My fear is being stuck in the same place for a long time LOL, there I found one.

I would say one of my biggest fears is that I am bad inside.
I used to KNOW I was human, that what I felt and thought, everybody else did, too.

My mother, a therapist, eroded my sense of self to such a degree that I wonder,"Am I bad?"

This is my biggest struggle. However, as I find my Pluto, I find we are ALL bad

I was (and still am as long as Bear is in the Army) incredibly fearful when he deployed. I was always afraid that the knock on my door was the Chaplian and Casualty Notification Officer's delivering me the worst news ever. If I even saw anyone near our home in Idaho (1st Deployment) or in Germany (2nd deployment) in a civilian police officer uniform or dress greens (Army) I would catch my breath and tell myself not to burst out in tears.

Living like that for 356 + days for each deployment can really put things into perspective.

I guess the beliefs I have really make fear out of place.
It is our lower nature, but not one of us are clear of our lower nature and no one is a superman just yet (I know I still have parts need working on ;o)
You know I was reading the "wisdom of insecurity" lately and I recommend it to offer perspective on all it.
Also "feel the fear and do it anwyway" was also a wonderful book. There was a time I was always afraid.
Now what is the worst that could happen? Why should I fear that if I can happily live in the moment, without fear of 'losing' something....LOL Whenever a "fear" thought enters- I replace it with a though of GRATITUDE.... Love fills my centre...there is only room for Love.
And of course, everything happens for a reason - I know one day I will lose someone I love ect... "bad things" do and will happen to everyone... doesn't mean you can't feel terrible when it does occur but to fear for it is deconstructive. We must be stronger than that, especially stronger for the one who will be with us on another plane. And if it's a material loss we are afraid of, it is never the end~

JWTM, There are varying degrees of PTSD... having a trauma imprint on the Mind is a different ballgame and needs a certain healing to take place when the person is ready and has worked through things- I know from experience...it's not easy. Again, though, I felt it was all meant to be a part of my life story.

“It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.”

Ami,

I don't think Pluto indicates that any person is bad. It is how we deal with the power of transformation, for ourselves and in our contributions to the world.

I have a very strong 1st House Pluto position (conjunct ASC within 2 degrees, in Virgo- squaring my Sun and Venus). In person, I am very much a 1st H Pluto and I don't feel it indicates anything bad, evil or a propensity towards evil because I have learned to work within the Plutonian energy instead of fighting it or worse, using it as a power over others.

I think all too often people discover their Plutonian energy and in time end up like Gollum, holding on to that power like he did with the ring. Just like the ring, Pluto can transform a person into a wretched, dark, power hungry person that tries everything in order to hold others down while making themselves appear to be all knowing or all powerful. Instead, Pluto reverses and smacks down that person into rubble.

I had a very hard Pluto transit in the beginning. Pluto in Sag conjuncted my Venus in the 3rd house- making my words very intimidating to others and then Pluto sat on my Sun for years. To top it all off, I had the tSaturn in Gemini turn me into a cosmic BLT (or as I like to call it, SSP: Saturn, Sun, Pluto) sandwich. I discovered just how powerful my own Pluto was and learned to work WITH Pluto, not harness the energy in order to overpower others.

Pluto is about transendence and transformation. When a person harnesses the energy they can make a major difference in transforming what is around them for the greater good and that selfless attitude transforms the person for the better.

Well Bear
The use of the word "bad" was misleading. I was taught that my primal self was bad.
Pluto is the primal self.
I am reclaiming of my basic primal nature which I thought was bad but ,actually, it was just human.

I can see where you are coming from.

I guess I just don't see Pluto as primal. I see Mars as the primal war energy (more similar to the Id than Pluto). Mars, again to me, is more about immediate gratification and ruthless behavior whereas Pluto is the planet that takes it all in and after much evaluation, tears it down to rebuild a better version.

However, we can turn Pluto into primal energy by misusing it. Mars is always going to be Mars, ready with sword in one hand and a AK-47 in the other. Pluto looks at Mars like an adult looks at their child having a temper tantrum "Are you done yet? Would you like to see real power Mr. Mars". LOL...

I'm not afraid of needles. I find them intrusive. I'm not afraid of rollercoasters. They are unpleasant. And yes, I tend to attract women with irrational fears.

Most fears are based on something protective and/or instinctive. Like a fear of spiders or snakes. I don't think too many people have irrational fears.

BearsArcher,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Pluto. I happen to agree with you. I am very Plutonian/8th house myself, but I don't find Plutonic energy to be "primal"...it IS felt at a deep level but it is not out of control like "primal" energy. In fact Plutonic energy is very much in control. Always.

Pluto is a transneptunian--its energy relates more to higher thought processes, whereas Mars is a personal planet and more closely connected to the center of Self. Plutonian energy is certainly felt as intense, powerful, and transformative to the native, but it has large scale impacts. It is not to be toyed with; it can take you to your highest heights or your deepest lows. It's a revolutionary force on the cosmic scale.

Now Mars...I have been thinking a lot about Mars lately, especially after the thread on Anger. I think Mars is seriously underrated, and manifests much more openly. Mars can go beserk on you with no warning. If we are talking Maslow, Mars would get angry if the lower needs weren't met.

Mars DEMANDS. Pluto SEEKS.

Hey! I haven't gone to the dentist yet, BUT(!!!!) I don't mind dentists at all. No dental pain has ever been that bad. I haven't gone to the dentist only because I'm not familiar with my dental plan, and I don't have a dentist. Once I learn my dental plan, I can ask my Dutch Orthodontist friend for a recommendation.

No, apparently I'm afraid of losing my phone. I had a nightmare recently that kind of amused me when I woke up. Through the dream I was frantically trying to find my phone.

It may be true. Last year at Christmas my family was playing a game called ImagineIf. I was the subject. Imagine if (AG) was an item in a pocket, what would he be? I think that was the question. Then we all had to give answers for it. I think there were four choices. When the answers were revealed, my answer, Chapstick, was the oddball answer. Everyone else chose cell phone. Mercury Rising.

I'm afraid of plenty of things as are ALL people. If I were to wake up unable to breathe because my room is filled with red jello, I would freak (the f---) out! That's just one of many possible scenarios that scares me.
