By one of my favorite ladies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5rxtlu0hZ4 ------------------ “It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.” IP: Logged |

Conquering Inner AngerIn my view trying to conquer anger would be self defeating. In other words, in my view, You are attempting to fight fire with fire. Advice? make a friend of the anger inside you, notice it fade away over time. Perhaps this only works for some, but it is worth a shot if you have the mindset and patience.
But then again, fire with fire is a war mindset, imho. war=peace? only if you think you can "kill" a part of yourself in the process and be ultimately happy with the end result. I have done this, did not make me smile. Only a more long lasting approach worked. Trying to "conquer" anything of myself normally crashes and burns. * In hindsight, I thank whatever powers that be for it, because I could not kill it I had to learn to deal. IP: Logged |

I see conquering as overcoming, not necessarily by any type of 'force'.That is very sound advice, mblake. I aslo believe, as we grow, we learn about what triggers anger in us and how far we let it control us, then by gaining that insight, we learn how to make use of the anger, rather than let anger control us. That is how picture it in terms of 'to conquer.' ------------------ “It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. My mind is more sensitive to power struggles.Even in my own nature of building up, and undermining my own design, only to rebuild again. Envision watching the tide roll in endlessly on the beach. IP: Logged |
