Well I've done extensive research on the Pluto in Scorpio generation, including my personal experience having been born as one (Eighth House Pluto in Scorpio). What strikes me most about my research and from interacting with those of this generation, is the depth of knowledge and sexual intrigue and awareness. I grew up in a modest household with two conservative parents. Understanding my sexuality started very early for me because I tended to constantly attract unwanted sexual attention and sexual situations. Even with my early experiences, I remember being shocked in middle school when my friends were giving each other tips on performing oral sex and being incredibly sexually explicit at that age. It surprised me in high school discussing the sexual experiences of my friends and fellow classmates during our first year and to discover that being promiscuous was in. Dressing provocatively and being explicit and vulgar were ways to gain popularity. Sexually open and expressive about their sexuality and sexual orientation. A sexually liberal generation who have seen and done almost everything. What's most interesting about this generation is that they bring a fascinating amount of insight and depth to sexual concerns and matters. A heightened level of intuition and sexual awareness, in addition to a plethora of knowledge regarding sexuality. Is this the most sexually in touch generation? It makes me wonder. We could blame it on our culture's obsession with sexuality however life imitates art and we fill the pool that is our culture and thus become products of it. Our culture influences us as much as we influence it. Past generations filled the pool and this generation is learning how to navigate it's murky waters. They seem most in touch with the darker side of existence. And as a result of their innate perception and exposure to sexual exploitation in the mainstream media, the Pluto in Scorpio generation sees straight through the disguises of chaste, repression and profiteering. This generation has a no-nonsense attitude and a very strong bull crap radar. They aren't interested in niceties, they want the raw, horrid, truth. It's a very intense generation that represents a change on many levels. Having left behind the superficiality, egotism, greed and perfectionism of generations before them. They've been exposed to expressions of sexuality ranging from pornography to abuse of sexual power in such cases as sexual assaults and human trafficking. They will transform the way the world views and understands sexuality. I've posted some articles that assess the assumption that this generation could make the same taboos that made older generations shudder with disapproval mainstream and prove to enlighten us all. They also discuss the issues being faced by the generation and hopes for the future. http://www.astrofuturetrends.com/id29.html http://www.philipgarcia.com/site/horoscopes/horoscope-reading_1860.htm http://schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com/school/the-pluto-in-scorpio-generation http://astrology.about.com/od/pluto/a/Pluto-In-Scorpio-Generation.htm http://www.commondreams.org/view/2011/08/21 Are you a Pluto in Scorpio individual? What are your opinions regarding sexuality, have you noticed a heightened awareness in regards to your generation and their sexual knowledge and understanding? Other generations what have you noticed in relation to this generation and their perception of sexuality? What similarities or differences can be noted? IP: Logged |

I'm Pluto in Libra, yet your growing up sounds a lot like me. I'm not so sure your gen really is all that more sexual. I'd likely shock you if I spilled the details of my sexual experiences growing up, and I was a lot more restrained and less sexual than a lot of my peers (I even had delayed puberty, though my sex drive has always been lower than most others around me, though ironically I seem less inhibited than my more sexualized peers as well), and I've heard of others, some much, much older, who were far more extreme in their formative years. Btw, Britney Spears, whom many Pluto in Scorpio girls were imitating when they dressed provocative (whether or not they were actually trying to be sexualized) was born in 1981, so she's Pluto in Libra. I have noticed an unusual amount of girls today (granted, many are Pluto in Sag, but includes some Pluto in Scorpio as well) being into "Justin" ships (Alex and Justin, brother and sister on Wizards of Waverly Place--though they DO have chemistry, which I like to think is unintentional but does come off at times as Disney Getting Crap Past the Radar), but then when I was growing up girls liked reading VC Andrews which often featured incestuous relationships between brother & sister so I'm not going to say that's Pluto in Scorp. That said, kids seem a lot more comfortable with slash than my gen ever since the early 2000s (though slash itself is older than my gen). However, I do think kids are at least slightly more aware about sexual matters (that is, educated, and I don't mean that crap that passes for education in all too many US schools), which I'm pretty sure is because of the internet, especially awesome sites such as Scarlateen. The puritan forces that strive to keep children ignorant (especially about subjects like sex) find the internet very difficult to stop and kids know it. But this seems as true of Pluto in Sag as well as Pluto in Scorp. I think what perplexes me the most about Pluto in Scorpio (apparently) is how women aren't supposed to have hips anymore. I know older men (and women into women) prefer that, but those with Pluto in Scorpio consider such women who do not look like little girls or otherwise so shapeless as to be androgynous as to be "fat." Witness Sabrina Bryan on Dancing With the Stars and now Miley Cyrus (as contrasted with say Belinda Carlisle and even 80s teen pop star Tiffany, who had hips and were considered sexy instead of fat in the 80s/early 90s), who lost a lot of popularity with Pluto in Scorp girls (and guys?) when they started looking like women instead of girls. And if they're more sexualized than previous gens I'd think the opposite would be the case. Though that all said, I can't help but also notice that their sexualization (especially for young teens) is grossly exaggerated (I mean all through the 2000s). Many complain of them dressing and acting too slutty but for the most part many are as harsh as my gen were at their age on calling other girls a **** on the slightest pretense (and not just because they don't like her), and condemning pop stars on the same ground if they like show too much skin or even appear in a music vid laying on a bed. Once Britney Spears popularity waned, most stopped dressing provocatively, though the news has intentionally lied about it (such as trying to spread hysteria that children are wearing slutty Halloween costumes when the vast majority do not, and the very rare few exceptions I saw were older teens, and another example is when reporters intentionally misquoted a thrift store owner I know out of context to make it appear that she was selling very revealing garments for girls, which was a willful lie, but enough viewers were gullible enough to believe it, even after the reality--which made far more sense--was explained to them) and some parents complain that they can't buy clothes for their children that aren't slutty though a quick trip to the store or glance on the internet quickly belies their concerns. I even lived in Venice, CA at the time that Nikki Reed was 13 (and she'd go on to make the controversial semi-autobiographical movie Thirteen a couple of years later) and while what her movie Thirteen portrayed existed (just as I'm sure has existed for decades), such kids appeared to be in the minority to me (and such kids are typically even rarer elsewhere). is that what those writers think of us? hoodies and rap music?i'm pluto in scorpio 84'. pluto on asc. i remember a lot of group activity with regards to sex. not group sex lol but just stuff related to discovering things which may have been rather early but iv no idea what boys of other generations did either. (like i remember 1 of my friends celebrated his 14th or 15th birthday at a strip club lol smh) i think pluto in scorpio will actually hold the future generations back. i mean sure they're exposing stuff now and whatever but what about when they are the ones in power. isn't scorpio about control and dominance? Very insightful response Pixiejane. I do agree that it's hard to identify what influenced the Pluto in Scorpio generations sexual mentality. It could have been the influence of past generations and how they've impacted mainstream media sexualizing everything, the generation could be products of their individual environments, or maybe they have a shared mentality in relation to the world they were brought into. It might just be the people I know but, they seem to want to call a spade when they see one. I wouldn't go as far as saying this generation is the most sexual because we're all human but they are definitely sexually aware. With this generation sexuality and things related to sexuality are going through a process of being less taboo or controversial. It's becoming dinner talk, at least from my research and experience. Very insightful also Sand. I think those writers were being a bit stereotypical. Hipster and Indie music seems more representative of Pluto in Scorpio then rap, but maybe raps apart of it. Music that isn't so light and fun, that's a bit crude, explicit and authentic. In relation to your reply about our generation holding other generations back I don't agree but I don't disagree. I think our generation won't build much, that might be up to the Capricorn Plutonians, because we'll be to busy destroying systems so they can be rebuilt. The shadow of Scorpio is control and dominance however, the archetype of the evolved Scorpio is the eagle or phoenix which represents being reborn through death and destruction. Our contribution will be exposing the truth of the lies and corruption built and then skirted by past generations. In the case of the World vs Corruption, Pluto in Libra may have been the lawyers on this case, but Plutonian Scorpions are definitely the prosecutors. We'll hold everyone accountable which won't be the brightest of periods, the world won't be a pretty place when we're in charge . However we need to purify the dirty class so future generations can have a clean cup to drink purified water out of. Following us will be Pluto in Sagittarius a generation destined to enlighten us all with new philosophies and ways of thinking and living. IP: Logged |

Prince Darien, PixieJane was just describing the interests of the Pluto in Sag generation and mentioning the possibility of Pluto in Scorpio sharing those interests. What's your opinion on this generation (Pluto in Scorpio)? Are you a member of it? Would you consider yourself sexually aware? Would you disagree with the assessments made on this thread, and if so what are your thoughts? Just curious... IP: Logged |

I'd really like to stay on topic Prince, even though those images are fun. I was interested in getting incisive thoughts in regards to this generation and the way they view sexuality. If you can thoughtfully contribute anything of substance, that would be appreciated. I don't mean to spoil the fun but I really do want to discuss this particular topic and gather alternative perspectives.IP: Logged |
