Today I found out that someone I knew well in the virtual world back in high school passed away in May 2004. He was only 19 years old, and such an articulate, kind, sincere guy, and I wish I'd kept in better touch. It hurts to think he's not out there, sharing his intense love of law with the world...and though we haven't spoken in almost 12 years, it feels like a void is in the world. Just had to share with those who I know understand. :'( IP: Logged |

I'm sorry. It must have come as a shock to find so many years later. Death can be difficult to deal with, let alone fathom at times. I often try to celebrate their life to divert from focusing on the loss. HUGS to you. ------------------ quote: Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma.

Well, mainly he was a real sweetheart when I was going through some drama at school, and at the time I took him for granted. We met when I began an online Honors English support group to help me through a terrible teacher's class in 9th grade, and he was an invaluable member of the group, and so knowledgeable about the law and personal rights, and I totally admired that about him. I went to look him up cause it had been so long, and when I couldn't find him, started digging around the web...

I feel you on that, as I've gotten older one of the toughest things to deal with is the departure of old, dear friends. For example 20 yrs ago introduced two friends to each other and they hit it off, got married, had a daughter and seemed to be living the dream life when last I saw them. Grew apart over the yrs and did not hear anything from them until one night happened to be watching the local news and it turns out they had split up, he broke into her and her daughters place at 3 am, and he was beating their daughter (she is 19). Don't know why it came to that, but turned out the ex wife shot and killed him. Tough stuff, sad really, but hang in there things will get better, they always do if you let them! IP: Logged | |
