i have fallen into another depression phase. This has been happening very frequently for the past 2 years, and honestly it's very debilitating. Even though i have my life- relatively- in order with my full time job and part time graduate school, things at home are so and so but mostly ok i honestly don't know why my mood is fluctuating like this.i also have recently been having panic attacks, uncontrollable and unreasonable attacks. Sometimes i wake up gasping for air like i was underwater or something. the worst part is how i communicate during this period, i'm always angry and snappy. yea and sulky, queen sulky over here. i think it's about time i seek some medical attention. sounds familiar? Sounds very familiar, unfortunately. I don't know if you know (I wrote about it extensively in here), but I struggle with depression too, and was even on medication. I recently had a pretty bad relapse, but now it seems I am at a stable mood, not ecstatic, but alright. If you feel the pull, yes, do seek help. Some people here are against meds and therapy, I can tell you that both have helped me, tremendously. But you also have to do the work, they only stabilize your mood (meds) or help you confront the cause, eventually (therapy), but it won't do it for you, you still do the heavy lifting. I hope you will feel better. I am here if you want to talk or you can message me on FB if you want. IP: Logged |

thanks guys, i haven’t been in touch with you both lately although i really care about you two (and others on this website).Hera, im so sorry you had to go through all of that. and i completely understand that you have to do what is necessary for your own happiness, so if it's meds so be it. you know that feeling were you just want to snap out of it, like you want to slap yourself on the face and be like "get over it" i would have seen a psychiatrist earlier if it wasn't so complicated to get an appointment. i have to see my family doctor first who is the king of "OH YOU'RE PERFECTLY FINE JUST EXCERSISE AND TAKE A MULTI VITAMEN" and i have to explain to him why i need to be referred to a psychologist and that is very stressful. thanks for the support Hera, if you need a nonjudgmental ear that lives miles and miles away I’m here for you sand, I must be sounding like those weak girls you hate so much…

It sounds familiar. I had a good day yesterday, after a bad start. Today, I got up late, only just showered, I feel fat, and past it. I'm right back to feeling that I have no future, that my life is over. I have no reason to believe anything else, and I'm reading and re-reading books all about past lives. I had someone trying to upset me, and get me into trouble on another site. That upset me a week ago, but not anymore. When I was alerted to the fact that she'd reported something that the mod didn't punish me for (a PM trying to resolve things), it showed me that she was only interested in trying to make me look bad, and run me off - I'd done nothing to deserve it, and I've seen her try it with others, so my initial sting was replaced with an instant calm in that respect. I wish I could apply that to the rest of my life. Although, it also reminds me of how much time I've wasted on the internet (good, positive, friendly people and my friends excluded from that you're no waste of time). IP: Logged |

It's exhausting, though - and I don't feel exemplary, but thank you. On another note: I love that I posted something really dramatic the other night, and a fight continued on around it. I'm sorry, but I just found that really funny. On another board, both people would have been banned. I like that they're still allowed to be here. IP: Logged |

while reading Star Signs, it says that people born on the 2nd have many consuming, unnecessary fears that could negatively impact their lives. i think that might have to do with my panic attacks.thank you for the support guys, lovely people you all are. this place has been keeping me sane. red, sweetheart thank you! teasel i'm not one to give advice since well, you know, i need some myself. but that part about feeling fat, you can change that. Exercising not only makes you look better but also feel A LOT better. Jogging in the morning (or at night) for only 30mns would improve your mood, guaranteed.
