The Nabokov asteroid thing is probably a good start. Never read "Lolita", have no desire to - but from what I've heard, doesn't the book revolve around a grown man and his sexual obsession with a teenaged girl?

As far as the fact that in the past, people married teenaged girls...just because something was a norm in the past, doesn't make it okay. Pedophilia and things like that were common (and deemed okay) in ancient civilizations too. So was slavery. So was the concept that women were owned by their husbands and basically chattel. So was the idea of human sacrifices...I could go on and on.

Just because something has an established backhistory of being considered apropriate behavior, doesn't mean by default that it is.

Why do older guys like teenage girls though? In a way, I "get" it - they have the curves that adult women do, only without the cellulite, wrinkles, stretch marks and sagging...also, they may not have all the emotional and psychological baggage and hangups as adult women do, and will make less demands.

Then there's the fact that, with a teenage girl, they're automatically impressed and totally snowed by, whatever you do and think you're totally awesome, purely because you're older than they are. At that age, teens are usually in a rush to be older than they are, and so anyone older has a higher cache to them.

So when you look at it that way, I can see why older guys like the idea of a teenage girl. Having said that, I still think it's disgusting, simply because we all know that when you're a teenager you don't know your head from your ar$e; even the teenagers who appear to be/think they are, incredibly mature for their age, are still nowhere near the level mentally and emotionally of an adult.

I know I'll probably get booed for that comment by the teenagers in the audience, but honestly this is something you won't understand until you're older, yourself. When I was 16, I thought I was appallingly mature and had the mind of an adult too. It's only after you're actually an adult and look back that you realize that there is a real, marked difference between the headspace and maturity level you were at as a teenager and where you wind up as an adult.

And that's why dating teenagers is so reprehensible to me, because no matter how they look on the outside, and no matter how self-possessed they can make themselves appear, they're still nowhere near the emotional and psychological level of an adult, and where they would need to be in order to be able to make real, informed choices in a romantic and sexual relationship. They just aren't. There isn't anything wrong with that, because that's the natural process of growth and development. They are where they are, and where they're meant to be for their age.

I fed those into my chart just to do it...got some odd results. Humboldt is in a *tight* conjunction with my ascendant (and south node - which happens to be conjunct the asteroid Lust); Lola is conjunct my midheaven and chart ruler. I think Delores is conjunct my Venus too.

I'm assuming that means in a past life I wasn't much different from R. Kelly.

This whole topic is unrealistic... The real world is not normal, there is no "standard". Times have changed, 100 years ago this was the norm, like it or not everyone lol.
Just know my gender is generally barbaric like they were in the ancient times. Granted not all men are like this, I'm not attracted young girls, I'm actually attracted to older people. For starters I've known young girls that dress like they're 20, those are the girls that have older boyfriends...
