About not really getting the whole fashion thing and being "lady-like" in some terms. I'm really not sure. Most people would want to be sexy. I don't like being objectified but the more life goes on the more I realize that people will always be objectified/judged one way or another... elegance is something I definitely don't have and could probably benefit me. "Snooki" can be sexy.... compare... Halle Berry can wear a trashbag... and still look elegant... and sexy... ---- sexy works for strippers... elegance for models... note not a size issue there are just are sexy plus size strippers.... and elegant plus size models to be sure. the woman who looks like a stripper-sexy, is less likely to be brought "home to mama", less likely to land a "upper-level/higher respected/paying" position in vocations, and less likely to be taken seriously by the world at large... than the woman who looks elegant. ~confidence can be found in both sexy women (as in those who desire/portray one of these looks as a standard), and elegant women equally, I believe.. but the world around them will appreciate that confidence differently... and so, appraise their sexiness/elegance differently... right!? as for gender equality... /sigh women are so forgiving... and "man"kind is so much kinder to its brother... it's hard to make an accurate example. ~ such is the world we live in.... a man's appearance is not as important as a woman's unfortunately, but it's truth... unless he is going for a position of some authority/consequence... he can look haggard and hellish, or dignified and handsome, or anything in between, however he wishes, so long as he's wearing a shirt, trousers, and shoes... he'll have the upperhand no matter which "look" he goes for. :/ anyway - it's all personal preference, in general... neeee?
