He's pretty much as he's ways been.

We took him out to breakfast on Father's Day.
He was sober, but did regale us about his travels in Germany - specifically about how he "never messed around with German wh0res in the 1980s because they all had AIDS."
Good Sunday morning breakfast-with-kids-in-public conversation.

We invited him over for Zoë's birthday.
He brought a six pack and spent most of the time cursing about his latest ex-wife.

Physically, he's more yellow than ever and his nails and fingers look awful.

I apologize if I'm sad and/or bitter about it.
I do truly appreciate your asking.
