I say this from helping my son on a dating site. My son needs what I tell Aquaguy he needs, a life coach who has experience socially and understands both men and woman. I promptly volunteered myself  At any rate, I am surprised how much he judges woman just on appearance as if someone has little value if they don't look good. I wonder if this is just part of a man's visual make-up. I am not judging. I was just really surprised. ------------------

Ami Anne, it is true that we are visual creatures but atleast we are honest about it. Girls ( atleast in my generation) are just as visual as the guys but they will never admit this... I proved this with my okcupid experiments. I put up a male model picture and women instantly started messaging me and viewing my profile... After they messaged me I would be very sexually forward with them and they liked it. Interestingly enough these girls were the ones who put in their profile that they wanted a "nice guy" and said they didn't do hookups, but all that changed when they thought I had model looks.IP: Logged |

haha...my best friend is an aquarius and his venus is in aquarius as well...he is very picky about who he is even interested in. he likes "perfect" girls.
its different for people. not just guys. some people like people who look good and have a good personality, not just one or the other. your sons probably on the look out for that. ------------------

It is funny with Venus in Aqua. I find they are not that interested in looks. Men with Venus in Aqua can seem to see beyond looks more than any other venus sign that I can think of atm.

I am not saying Venus in Aqua does not care about looks as we all do or at least, we have to be attracted to someone.I am just saying that venus in Aqua does not live or die by looks. I would say that Venus in leo would lol ------------------

I am really not visual when it comes to a guy. I am not saying this to be holier than thou. I think it is the chart. I have venus in gemini in the 9th. I am attracted to a guy's words. A guy can be super unattractive and I don't really care but if he is not verbal, I will have no attraction to him.------------------

I did date 2 guys who were as gorgeous as male models. One was my b/f in college. It was cool to walk around with them and have people look but looks are not that important to me.------------------

Yes, men are very visual.I would say that I am just as shallow as any man. For instance, I wouldn't date a fat man, or a man whose face I didn't like. I don't care about washboard abs or thinning hair, though. I know women who won't even date a man who doesn't have a six pack. I actually think I'm getting less shallow than before because in the past I would date men who smoke as long as they were good-looking enough to compensate; now I won't. IP: Logged |

I agree.I will also say we find different things attractive.
I know girls that like huskier men or cuddlier dudes. I dated a literal model type once and never again. Those types of people are way too irritating in so many ways I won't mention. I'm more into the overall, if you have a nice face and body with an awesome personality than you're perfect 10 in my eyes. I like to have my cake and eat it too. IP: Logged |

For myself, won't say looks don't matter at all, will say that I prefer someone who can hold a conversation.For me, that is as important as looks, dated some gorgeous women who, to be blunt, were far to shallow and I found it very boring. IP: Logged |

I NEED to be physically attracted to the guy,If sex is to ever happen between us. I just don't need him to look like a model, or fit the general standard mold for "good looks".Ime, i don't think I've ever met a guy who wasn't shallow. Like Ridiculously shallow...It's just unbelievable how much they demand when it comes to the physicality of a woman. "What a woman should look like".
