I think it depends on the woman, for my mother her prime was 28-40 years.

However, a lot of people say a woman's prime is around 20-25, 18-25, or even 15-20..

What do you think?

KQ

Those are very young ages for prime. Maybe they are the best for childbearing, but prime? I would be interested if this is something you read, and the source.

Those ages do not apply to men as well. I do not think any human on the planet has approached a prime till after they have the first Saturn return, usually occurring around 28-30 years of age.

I think it depends on the person.
Some peak at an early age and have longevity.
some don't...
Others are late bloomers etc.

What is the definition of prime for a woman?

Should we be chasing career dream or chasing beauty?

Oh my. Most people don't even really know themselves until they are in their late 20's/early 30's. I say that as a female that was very self aware as a teen, but still. The thought that a woman would be in her prime in her teens is absurd. That's very sad if high school and adolescence is the prime of someone's life, those are formative years. If you are referring only to looks, then maybe, but that's only because so many people don't take care of themselves, especially in the US. I know several women around my age(32) that are hot as hell now, but not when they were in their teens. To me confidence is sexy, and most young women are very insecure. So even if they look good, they don't carry themselves well.

This.

And mental/emotional prime seems different than physical attractiveness. The body tends to be healthiest (assuming lack of abuse) 20-30, but women tend to become a lot more interesting, stable, and self-assured (far more attractive than a slim waist or whatever) closer to age 30, so I'd guess prime in that aspect would be 30-40 (after that curiosity tends to wane as does enthusiasm, and health problems can also cause a blow).

I want to say about 29-35, a woman is in her prime.

I don't have an explanation, it just seems right.

Depends on the woman.

Some women made poor choices early in life (drinking too much, smoking, chasing after idiots) and are showing serious wear and tear by 30, they look run ragged and are emotionally pretty unhappy/bitter.

Others are peaking at that point.

Karka, I'm sure you didn't mean it this way...but truthfully, I think it's kind of sexist to imply that a woman is in her "prime" only when men are most attracted to her. Women don't need men to make us valuable.

In fact, one of my role models is Tasha Tudor, who came into her "prime" in her sunset years, living alone amidst her garden, animals, and art (with family and friends visiting, of course. )

and some Aquacheeka, give up the hard living around 30 and THEN hit their prime.

Aquaguy being a young man probably doesn't realize that he is still sizing up women as to their childbearing capability, which certainly does peak in those early years.

MANY women would tell you their prime started with menopause! "Beauty" in the eye of the beholder, much?
