It can be happy tears or sad tears. What moves you?

Not much. I mean lots of stuff moves me, but not to tears. I'm not easily moved to tears.

I'm easily moved to goosebumps. Does that count? LOL

They say that is Truth moving through you (goosebumps). When something resonates on deep level with you.

Animal cruelty.

Also When animals are feeling sad (not necessarily due to cruelty), It Makes me want to cry. but usually its just my eyes getting watery.. my eyes wont stay dry though lol..Like i saw this picture of a german shepard in an open casket, while another german shepard had its head in it looking at the dead dog. And it looked really depressed/sad...I felt sooo sad, and my eyes got watery.

When animals die in movies, i cry.

The alien from the movie "e.t" made me cry soo much. He was soo adorable and amazing.. The movie still makes me cry.

Watching a man cry breaks my my heart....There is something soo tragic about a man crying , to me anyway...ive cried before just from seeing some random guy in the street crying his eyes out.

When good people (by my standards lol) have horrible things happen to them.

Love stories. Only when theres tough obstacles in between, and the people in love overcome them. I have to feel that they earned their "HEA", in order to be moved by their story.

When people, especially dirt poor people, are soo giving and selfless. It makes me want to cry soo bad..

So bascially animals, and good people going through TOUGH things makes me cry.

Interesting enough I cry easily (both happy and sad tears) when I'm reading or watching something, but not in real life. I think it's because in real life I have to keep my wits about me and not let my emotions steer (at least not right then, usually when I do cry it's some time after the cause), but when simply being entertained then I can mentally relaxed which allows my emotions greater spontaneity.

Not much.
Even when I know "it's" in there and I know I would be better if I did. I still have to kind of concentrate on it to let it release.
I don't really get the urge to - it's very rare.

To answer your question fully. It's usually something to do with someone I love.
A friend of my brother-in-law died from a work accident a year or two ago. My brother-in-law who also rarely cries had watery eyes and saying it should have been him. I was okay but on my way home I cried. Then I called him just to say that I love him. It hurt me to see him hurting.

I happily cry at the Underdog succeeding, or the Little People overcoming. My mother makes me cry otherwise and that's about it.

@11nahyt

I think it's a leo thing

Same here. I can't watch dogs dying or getting killed in movies. It really annoys me, that's my first reaction, then it saddens me to the point of tears if I have sort of bonded with the dog (ya it happens ) like right fromt the start. I can cry my eyes out and refuse to continue watching the movie if the dog died mid-movie. If I know a dog will die in a movie,it's a no-no movie no matter how great it fared in the box office.

I don't go to funerals of small babies/small children because I won't be able to control my tears. Normally am a tough person,I won't shed a tear in public or at work no matter what lol. Only a guy that I really love can make me cry otherwise I won't care to the point of tears. meh

Im not a leo sun, but i have a leo moon. so maybe it is the leo influence after all..I too have had times where I've "bonded" with the animal in the movie lol. I too won't watch a movie if i know beforehand that an animal was going to die, Or an animal was going to be mistreated in said movie..( like "water for elephants"). I just cant.

I also cant stand it when kids get bullied.. That makes me cry too. I remember growing up, i would frequently get into fights with bullies, for bullying other kids.. verbally or physically. I didn't care if they were male or female. I just couldn't let that slide. Today, bullying is a whole lot worst than before...And The internet plays a huge role in this. And it makes me sad that i cant do anything about it. And i don't think its going to get better.

I just wish god would hurry up and give me my own pretty planet so i can get the hell off this one...and i can take as many animals with me there, and take Jason momoa and Ian somerhalder with me too.. . Like Is that really too much to ask for?

Suffering.

Seeing Mental & Bodily torture.

Devastated War victims.

9-11-2001.

Witnessing extreme poverty in our cities & towns.

The Lost, abandoned & isolated people.

Children, seniors, vulnerable people being publically denigrated by parents/ care-takers/ older-children.

Watching big or older trees getting cut down.

White-tiled rooms with hampers piled with dead fish... waiting to go to market. Death.

US Congress & Legislators, who are deliberately causing suffering and HURT of people in America... And whose mission is to 'make our government Fall'...
Please make them stop!! It breaks my heart sooo bad!!

Angry tears.

Often when I am watching TV and they are displaying social injustice, especially in an educational environment.
it`s like pushing a button inside me (and that was even before I became a teacher. lol)

For some reason witnessing this kind of injustice in life itself doesn`t make me cry, instead it just makes me angry, especially having to deal with narrowminded people and knowing that a certain kind of openmindedness or tolerance or empathy and compassion cannot be simply shoved right into their heads.
(and it is good, free will and all, but just sometimes.... I guess if I was a superhero, the power of mindaltering would be the one that would pose the most temptation to me. Fortunately I am not. lol)

I almost cried recently (and just didn`t do it to possibly humiliate the other person with me crying), when I saw this homeless person in front of a shop, and I went into the bakery, bought a bun and a bottle of water (it was a hot day, and she didnīt have anything to drink) for her, and she was so grateful for this. This was really painful for me.

For some reason sometimes when I hear the first notes of a musical or concert, I am getting this major goosebumps and have tears in my eyes practically BEFORE it starts. That always surprises me, as there is not really a reason to cry at that point yet. lol

I can't be more specific, or I'll be crying, too. I haven't cried today, and am trying to keep it that way.

I could summarize with this: Redemption, catharsis. A rebalancing of karma, I suppose.

The best (only?) example that I can recall from my own life was listening to my ex talk about her previous, abusive relationships, and then gently demonstrating that I was not that kind of guy, that I actually cared and would never do such things. I've daydreamed about similar encounters many times.

I have a Leo ascendant but I think it's the strong Libra (which is airy/mental and tries for some detachment) on the Scorpio (self-control) cusp that makes me this way. 'Course all that positive Sag energy helps, too...
