Can your sixth sense tells you that? My Lunar Aqua is useful in detaching my thinking from my senses. Or my Scorpio rising gave me sudden instinct.

I'm an Aquarius Moon too!

I guess I'm about average when it comes to detecting lies. I'm not some hound who can smell insincerity a mile away, but sometimes I get suspicious and sometimes it's right. SHRUG!

But...I'm an insincere person, so how does that work...? It's not a lie, your honour, but merely...not all of da twooth!

I have too much air in my chart.
I don't really care if someone is sincere or not..
Actions speak louder than words.

I can smell a liar a mile away. I know instantly when a person isn't being honest with me. I definitely feel I have a sixth sense in detecting lies lol. I'm very good at detecting people who BS I can't stand it and always know when a person isn't being straight forward with me. I'm not a judgmental person at all but I can't help instantly reading people and basing it off of the way the talk and their body language.

Agree but when it goes to the point where his actions speak louder of his motives than his sincerity..

I wonder was it me too detached that I couldn't feel sincerity or I had seen enough BS from him that I have no feelings at all for that person?

It could have been both of those things unfortunately. I have a lot of everything in my chart but a bunch of air too and I thrive off of words. Yes actions do speak louder than words but words are just as important. Actions and words go together there can't be one and not the other. Hope that makes sense

Yup in the past I use to be very gullible.
I had mercury trine pluto synastry and I was the pluto person.
So I was easily manipulated by mercury, and mercury told me everything I wanted to hear.

After that experience I take everything with a pinch of salt. I'm no longer excitable about plans or promises.
Promises mean absolutely nothing unless you don't see immediate results!

Generally speaking, liars expect others to lie, people who are honest automatically expect others to be honest. Granted, they usually learn better, but that's the instinct to believe others are about the same or even worse than the self and a liar is generally much better at catching other liars because they not only know what to look for but are compelled to look for it.

Though just to be clear I don't think someone who "doesn't disclose everything" is automatically a liar (though there is willful lying by omission).

I veer between being a bit paranoid due to anxiety, and much too trusting. When I was shocked at the way someone treated me, they told me that it was my fault for trusting them. Apparently, 100% responsibility didn't extend to themselves, they just expected to do whatever they wanted and blame someone else for their actions. the rest of us were supposed to be 100% responsible for anything.

I have instincts, but don't always listen to them. Some stupid part of me actually expects people to do the right thing. I guess that's what people used to like about me, and some still do (since they still see that side of me, when I'm not feeling like a threatened feral cat).

I have a Cancer Moon. I was just talking to someone about trusting one's instincts.

I used to really trust my instincts and I was a lot healthier.

Then, I started to think that I was not seeing correctly and I got sicker.

Now, I am trying to trust them. It is hard when your instincts are telling you something and you have a smiling person who your instincts are saying is lying through her teeth.

What do you do? I guess you have to trust your instincts or you can't trust youself and are lost.

My Aunt trusts hers and she is an emotionally healthy person for this one thing, I think.

She is a Cancer Sun conj Pluto.

Rule #1 in detecting a liar:

"Don't listen to what they say, watch what they do"

My Scorpio and Pluto placements have a sort of antenna of detachment then insight.

Rule #2 in detecting a liar:

"If everything they say they've done worked out perfectly, they are probably lying"

eegads, failure is a part of life, when I hear of a trapeze artist who closed a million dollar sale whilst 1000 feet up on a highwire..they need to stop lying.

Rule #3 "If it seems to good to be true, it still can be good, but they are covering stuff up"

People will directly lie to you to increase your perceived value of them, rare is the person who gives you both the up and downside of whatever it is. Not a lie per se, more a concealment of negative sanctions.

Rule #4 "Desperate people will say anything, if they parrot back to you what you've told them, they are trying to gain an advantage"

Of all things in modern culture, this is the most pernicious, it restrains honesty and genuine rapport.

Rule #5 "The more people talk of their honesty, honorability, and self sacrifice, the faster you should hide the silverware"

Noble traits in people are not unheard of, in fact they make mankind worth bothering with, however when people talk of them all the time chances are good they are trying to gain leverage via "they are soo good, I must be bad" effect.

To all of these though, the key is to take your time in a hurry, look for inconsistencies that are outside of the norm.

I finally ran into that pos Aquarius who owed me a sizable sum of $$$, my human instinct was to...uhm...tell him to stand and deliver.

Instead, I merely cataloged his lies, his lack of performance, and his past, and gave him a gentle warning that it was in his best physical interest to stay away from me from now on.

Thus I write these 5 general rules based on recent experience.

I think I usually have an instinct as to whether or not a person is BSing, but I'm not too hardcore on going after a person unless their lies are malicious.

There are sometimes where my inner self alarms are going off, but I squash it down to give the other person a chance. I kind of hate that about myself because there are people who want and deserve chances and there are people who just like taking the **** by being jerks.

It took me a while, but my biggest rule for detecting liars is just to pay attention to their actions.

Insincerity is the same thing as being fake, and I know most of the time when someone is fake. I just don't speak on it.

Moon opposition Pluto, Moon trine Uranus, Moon trine Neptune.

Yes, exactly this. It's always very apparent to me.
