Every September, I go through hell. The nightmares and visions even when I'm awake recurr badly. I don't know if this will ever go away. IP: Logged |

U2?I wrapped a cougar around a power pole, heard my heart stop beating BTW sounds like: "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" Defribed me twice, spent 9 days in the hospital...left with tubes sticking out of my gut...how nice. Went to the internalist and guess what? No anesthetic..he just ripped them out of my gut..tbh YTA..that hurt alot...so much so it's still on my mind to this day. It's like being stabbed in the stomach..only you volunteered for it. PTSD? Dunno..do know there are some things one never forgets. Sadly..it makes me weird unto this day IP: Logged |

82nd Floor. Two World Trade Center. I saw stuff that humans should never see. Keep in mind that as a soldier, I had visits to the morgue to look at cadavers with lethal weapon wounds. Those were nothing compared to what I witnessed. IP: Logged |

I popped into LL 2.0 at the end of the Day of 9/11/2013. Was surprised no one had made an anniversary post.... so I did. I wanted to leave special regards to you, YTA, on that day. When hippichick had her ptsd support group thread here in SP, I saw your post about your experience on 9/11. I wanted to draw you out in discussion there, but I walked into my own crisis at that time.... You were NOT forgotten--- The thread veered off into another direction. But I always think about you now, whenever I see the towers depicted. Throughout the anniversary day this year I kept thinking about you, standing with you (and all affected) and praying for our healing. Such a terrible day! I'm soooo sorry you saw all those things... So heavy and extremely sad. (I haven't been able to spend much time at LL. I miss posting.... My eye caught the topic ready to sink into the archival pages, so I bumped it to say all this to you...) ------------------------
BTW, I still can't spend 'quality' time on posts... No time to read threads anymore. I really really hope that no one gets insulted that I'm not 'spending time'.... only hit and miss, here and there postings. (oh yeah, the day I got "time" to post? is the day all my writings got "poofed"!! oh well~~~~ My life is changing.... I'll let people know when I'm gone for "the long run"... Love to ALL!!! ) This is the URL to the 9/11 topic I left... I am recognizing that I have PTSD stuck in my body from my childhood. I am like frozen. It kind of thawed a little last week and has at times and I can feel.These PTSD processes are automatic to save the person from insanity, really. God's love can take them away, I think, and that would be the only thing imo ------------------

It's still difficult for people outside the Northeast to relate to the events. A guy from California on the plane beside me - a businessman in his late 40s - insisted that it couldn't possibly have happened: that it was planned by the US government, coordinated by Americans, so that it could kill Americans, and then take America to a couple of miserable wars against an enemy that doesn't exist, so that more Americans can get killed, to benefit the American media. At 35,000 feet, I wanted so badly to throw him out of the plane. IP: Logged |
