emotions are awkward and stupid. but, you have to accept them.
heck i even let myself be ruled by emotions. lifes more fun for me that way haha------------------

You can't help it if you're an emotional being. You feel. It's so easy to say "hey, think positive" "don't allow things to get to you" etc.
There are things you can try to do to channel those feeling but it isn't easy.Yes, it can be draining but rather get it out than allowing it to build up..which can possibly turn into anger. I understand what you mean (Pisces Acs). Hope you feel better soon.

I think a lot of people feel this way, which is why the song "I am a Rock" got to be so popular...a lot of us can relate to it or know someone who's like that, at least part of the time. Yesterday I got myself into a bad situation, I was talking with this new friend of mine and she started crying and telling me about her problems, which is totally FINE with me, I'm an 8H Pisces moon and very often people do start crying to me out of nowhere. Trouble is, she hated herself for it afterwards, I could tell. It was like, "**** can't believe I let that out." I wasn't being nosey, it was just the way the conversation flowed, but that situation and this thread together are making me think that I ought to be more careful about how I elicit reactions from people. Thanks for reminding me that some people strongly prefer stoicism. And I think a person can be both emotionally intelligent and stoical, because even if you're working with a quiet or light palate of colors, you can still create a beautiful emotional response (sorry if that sounds corny though ) And I think everyone is entitled to be that way, there is no right or wrong way to handle emotions as far as I'm concerned. But, on the other hand, maybe people divulge things for a reason, even if they don't understand why they are doing so at the time. I suppose every situation is different.  I do think that expression is just natural, and even if a person is used to being clamped down and self-contained, sometimes emotions have to come out...you know, like weeds can break through the concrete on a sidewalk. Natural impulses will prevail over our usual habits sometimes. For example, I've never known anyone to die without their emotions showing. And sometimes our emotions just spring out like they have a life of their own...many times I have started tearing up before I even had a thought in my head about why I was doing it. IP: Logged |

I used to get all embarrassed, but now I'm just like, "Oh well, this is me. I'm sure you're strong enough to deal with that.
