Depersonalization Disorder (DPD) or dissociative disorder affects the way a person experiences his or her self amid reality. Most dissociative disorder findings are a subject of controversy. However, conclusive evidence supports the fact that a person who suffers from this disorder loses or modifies the general sense of their own reality.
Symptoms can include feelings of bodily or mental detachment from one’s own self and perceiving the self as a third person, just like a nonattached observer. The top five symptoms of depersonalization disorder are listed below.

The most significant of all depersonalization disorder symptoms is the recurring or continuous feeling of detachment in thought and action. The person feels like an observer of their own thoughts. Depersonalization disorder signs include the feeling that one’s body parts don’t belong to oneself. Certain depersonalization disorder statistics have stated that some people have had the experience of floating above their heads, that is, they can observe themselves from above.

2. Numbness of senses toward other external stimuli is another common depersonalization disorder symptom. This includes not being subject to pleasure or pain and remaining stoic amid everyday inflictions. This symptom also includes feeling devoid of emotions that appear in states of normalcy. Feeling emotionally disconnected from people is also a depersonalization disorder sign.

3 The third depersonalization disorder symptom is that of going through sensations that are not under the individual’s control. This includes feeling robotic, or like you’re in a dream, or in a movie where one is just a spectator of one’s own self and nothing more. At times, the individual suffering from this symptom might not even have control over their speech.
4 The fourth set of depersonalization disorder symptoms includes the feeling that one’s own body parts are distorted, shrunken, or enlarged. The fifth and least prominent of depersonalization disorder symptoms includes fears of going crazy and losing control of one’s own natural abilities. Depersonalization disorder findings have also shown short-term memory, attention deficit disorder, and spatial-temporal reasoning.

I know this is sweat peas in the rain but where is your "descending node" (I always call it south node) Ami?
Any hard aspects to it?

I don't want to freak you out but I watched these videos on Astrology and serial killers. Of the 20+ that this Astrologist checked out had South Node in hard aspect to moon. (Saturn also) Of course not everyone who has it is going to be a killer. LOL
But south node is the headless planet, headless body. It has no thought or emotion.

In the serial killers it could cause them to not see people as people, but as "things". They had no value to them.

Anyway, I'm totally not trying to imply that you could become one or anything of the sort. Just explaining its effects and to see if it is very active in your chart.

Dispassion from the Dhammapada among other works, this one, no offense AA, seems like psycho babble.

Suspect nearly everyone with a healthy ego experiences one of the 5 listed stages at one point or the other.

Perform a boring, repetitive task, one can find detachment quite easily, talk with a utterly boring, but necessary for whatever person, and the same can happen.

Now if several of these "symptoms" happen over a long period of time, especially involving things that one used to like or really should like, then sure.

But I'd suspect many of these spring from depression.

Thanks Tony. I know you weren't implying that lol

Umm My SN is 26 Gemini. I don't think anything bad happens to it. It is conjunct my Sun--28 gemini and my sun has all god aspects--trines to Neptune and sextiles to Pluto.

Pluto trines my North Node so I guess it trines my SN. I guess I am just effed up and not a killer

If the Sun is your life force, or your "soul" it could make you feel like you are detached from your soul or don't have a soul like gingers. *covers mouth* OOPS! Did I say that?

That's with Vedic Astrology btw.

It's also exactly conjunct my moon.

My understanding is vedic uses a different system to determine placements. Western using the earth's position relative to space and vedic using the earth's position relative to stars. I think.

Vedic also does not use planets beyond Saturn.

I never did anything with it, Tony. Do you like it and find it accurate?

Some people find it accurate, I did not.
My Venus and rising are different in vedic. I think some others but both of those made no sense for me.

I think descending node interpretation is still relevant. It's all just calculated differently in vedic.
