Sorry I haven't even checked back here recently lol but ok I suppose I'll try to summarize... I made a thread a while back about a violent incident that happened with someone I was dating (not just a heat of the moment type of thing, it was pretty dangerous/threatening) and basically it was a traumatizing experience, and I know I never really processed it in the right ways...

Honestly it put me in a dark place for a while, and I kept in contact with this person after as some sort of misguided attempt at "understanding", or having a sense of control I guess... It's hard to talk about because I feel like I'd made a lot of progress in life and was pretty self-reliant overall, so to become so unhinged over something like this isn't something I'm eager to admit

But it's made me face some of my deepest fears/wounds surrounding the idea that abuse is "normal" in relationships, and I guess on the plus side it's forced me to gain a better understanding of myself in the process. I want to heal from this and let it go once and for all, because the whole downward spiral thing is getting old lol

The worst part is it's not just me being emotional, I know he will do the same thing again in the future to someone else, if not worse... This was made 100% obvious to me when I recently found out he sent his male friend (who he was "play fighting" with) to the hospital where doctors thought he was going to lose his eye from being punched/kicked in the face

I know I need to just walk away and let karma take care of itself, but it's all just very toxic and f***** up, and I feel like he should face legal consequences, but pursuing that road may only make things more complicated...

I have made a MILLION mistakes. I still do. The problem is that the only way I learn is through the fire.

And yeah I definitely agree.. He still tries calling me and claims he just wants to be "friends" (partly how this got dragged out for so long- we actually were friends long before we started dating and things got so crazy) but I've made it clear there's no reason for us to be talking anymore. I also wasn't planning on meeting anyone new anytime soon, but I've actually sort of been dating someone recently (who is a completely normal and sane human being lol) so I'm hoping he will finally get the message and back off...

Thanks Ami, it is unfortunate that some lessons only seem to stick by going through them the hard way, but that's life I suppose...

Nessus doesn't aspect my personal planets with a tight orb at least, but it does square my Neptune conjunct DSC (which is an aspect I hate all on its own lol)

I'll put my chart in the beginners forum, thanks again!
