Ever felt like this with someone?I thought this was a rare thing, but the older I get, the more I realize how many other people have had this kind of relationship before.

The "-in-law" part didn't register and I thought you had some...unconventional family dynamics going on for a split moment.  Any ways...hm...I've felt like that with the only two girls I've ever maybe come close to loving. Maybe I'm too young to say for sure if I was in love with them, but I did feel strongly for them, and when they were with others, I was fine with that.  Except maybe one's current boyfriend. I just in general don't like him and sort of secretly don't approve of him, but hey, if it's who she chooses, I mustn't disrespect! IP: Logged |

Hmm... I don't know, I kinda feel that way about one person who I've dated before. I had strong feelings for him, but it wasn't the kind of love I have for my s.o.Our relationship/friendship now feels like a mix of affection and care, and memories of the romance that we shared. We don't regret that we're not together or get jealous. We're a part of each other's past, we left imprints on each other's life, yeah it's just like that. Difficult to explain. My s.o said that it has developed from "romance" into a kind of "friendship". IP: Logged |

I had a very beautiful friend when I was younger that I loved with all my heart. I was rather vain and selfish and broke up with this friend, who continued to love me despite myself.He passed away in 2011. I feel like I try to be a better person because he loved me with all my faults. IP: Logged |
