In life, there are two sorts of achievements, tangible and intangible. One is a objectively measurable standard, say grades in school, the other is subjective and involves personal responsibility and growth internally.For myself, chemi's internet dating is the intangible kind, one in which she is deciding whom she would like to meet and the direct manner of how she will meet them. As time rolls along that will become the ability to focus on traits that are important to her in other people aside from the external, tangible measures. UPDATE:Ok, I have great news and I have really great news!!!!! 
So... My mom is TOTALLY fine with the fact that I met B online. In fact, she REALLY likes him and even invited him out to bowl with her, her boyfriend, and me  . At first, she was like "Are you serious...??" and then she started asking if I was being safe about it and I told her everything and that I was being safe and responsible then she was fine. She told me I didn't have to lie to her.
And... I JUST HAD AN 8 HOUR DATE GUYS!!!!!!! We saw The Hunger Games (2hr movie) then went to ikea and stayed there for 4 and a half hours and then went bowling because we didn't want to end the date just yet lol. I won't get all gushy but we held hands and... kissed quite a few (first guy I ever kissed on a first date), talked about any and everything plus, some cuddling here and there. Everything just felt comfortable and natural, and I haven't even known him long. I'm still amazed that I met this guy right when I was about to disable my online dating account and give up on the whole thing. He was a perfect gentleman and paid for everything and opened every door for me and didn't try and touch me sexually, so it's safe to say that I'm pretty much smitten  .
